My Rating Stars Disappeared Mysteriously - *frustrated*

Oh my god! I was rating articles like crazy there two days ago and actually I earned two rating stars that day. Then I didn't log in yesterday as I was out and about. Just now, I logged in and only to find that my rating stars disappear totally! Geez, I don't think I will be able to make it to three rating stars at the end of their program if my stars disappeared like that.

Disconcerting. I did go back and rate a whole bunch of articles, so I know I have done more than the allegedly requisite "40" but I've never ever gotten a rating star, so I think their whole rating thing is a little flaky. I sort of gave up on those contest things after reading of the experiences other people have had with them. Good luck.

Come on you guys - let's have some positivity. I am a steward on Helium and I was worried myself that I might not have the three stars but I rated and rated and rated and got my third star and now I keep it there. MyLot pays poorly when you consider it next to Helium. And think about it - isn't it worth spending the time rating there to get all that money in April. More than you could earn here in the time.

I read this and there is all sorts of speculation, but did you know Helium are one of the most caring sites I have ever written to ? I write for Epinions who don't pay English writers til they reach 50 dollars. After five years, nothing. I write for dooyoo who pay in amazon vouchers and whose payments are less and less. I wrote for a site called Ciao who treat their members appallingly. Helium pays and pays bloody well. I get between 3-400 dollars a month there. When people talk about rating, they sometimes imagine that rating fast counts as quality rating and its stupidity. It is also stupidity to flag everything in sight. Rating steadily every day on a consistent basis earns stars and I think it really is daft to think that Helium would be so shortsighted as to take away stars in April and risk their reputation and it doesn't fit with the ideology that I have found there at all. Many people complain about writing stars. One member has over 100 substandard articles in their portfolio but won't improve them even though they are now a better writer, and many don't realize all those substandard works that they did when they joined hold them back. It's not Heliums fault they have no stars. It is their own. Conspiracy theories about, but this one just about takes the biscuit, because the amount of effort Helium put into relationships between writers and themselves is enormous and far outweighs that on any other site. I know what you mean but I am not happy with losing stars all of the sudden. I would still rate and write there but I won't have my expectation too high!

It wasn't meant as a criticism of you or your thoughts but probably a build up of what we see posted on the forum there. I say one person the other day say that they rate the shortest ones best because they can't be bothered to read the long ones !! Keep rating, keep your standards up and I am sure you will achieve it and I wish you luck with it. Rachel

Hello wondericequeen, I am at lost *laughs* I am not too sure whether I understand what you're talking about but it is definitely not about MyLot, right? *laughs* Never mind, I just hope you will be able to achieve whatever target you set before *smiles*
