Dear myLot friends, As we travel a bit, I will try to update our whereabouts on here when we are going to be away--so my myLot friends will know we have not altogether disappeared. Blessings to all, Ann

I could never forget that one because it was my first time in high heeled shoes and one heel caught in the doorstep just as we were leaving my friend's house and I fell down and skinned my knee and tore my nylon stockings. The boy was so cool about it. I will always treasure his kindness even though I ended up marrying someone else. He was a heck of a nice fellow, but after we were an item for ...

drannhh responded to a discussion called Somebody hacked into my facebook account! in internet.

Yes, someone hacked into my ICQ account years back. I had a highly desireable ICQ user number and someone tried to buy it from me but I did not want to sell, so that may have been who stole it, but they left the link to my web site on it and I wrote to the ICQ staff about it several times and never got an answer. Needless to say I don't use ICQ anymore. I used to like it a lot, but that was inv...

Did your ever figure out why the guy just stared? Did he think the good samaritan was going to steal his food--or something else? These days one has to be careful:-) I wouldn't have stared though...I would have just said no thanks. Do you think he was just completely shocked that someone would be nice enough to offer? My most frequent good deed is probably letting people with fewer items...

drannhh responded to a discussion called Today yahoo sent all of my myLot mail to the spam folder. in mylot.com.

Sometimes a few notices do end up in my spam folder but I always assumed that was because the censor matches some word in the them with a banned word, not because the myLot member said anything bad, but because some perfectly nice words have different meanings, like where someone recently started a discussion about spam and meant the the potted meat product, but that might be mistaken for junk ...

RFl, once I "ran away" to the jewelry store...and came home with a lovely pair of earrings. I'm definitely "badder" than you!

I see you have really thought this out! It is good that you described painting as a skill because that is what it is and all skills can be learned, but you know so much about "art" is subjective these days and many people will pretend it is supposed to be innate rather than learned. Of course it is innate in everyone, just maybe not developed. I chose to wear a black T-shirt today, and was ...

Can't you just resize your photos using a free online utility such as Picnik:http://www.picnik.com ?

I really do not think that money-making opportunities online will altogether dry up. There may be some changes, but it seems there are new things popping up all the time. We will just have to keep on being flexible and also on the guard against scams.

My tip is that just because the phone rings that does not mean you have to answer it. Especially not if it is a mobile phone and you are at a funeral, or in church, or at a move, or in a restaurant, or class. Hah! But really, if you are busy doing something, it is not necessary to answer your phone at home either, just because it rings. Sometimes, just let it ring, unless you have kids who ...

drannhh received a best response in the discussion Cows milk and a 5 month old baby by BellasmamaTiff.

I would trust milk over science, too, but presumably one reason is that the formula is fortified with iron and giving cows milk could over time cause anemia. Another is that a lot of the milk sold today has growth hormones and other problematic stuff in it that good old-fashioned milk from days gone by did not contain. What Color is Fear

The colors that fill our lives with delight have many connotations. Red can be regarded as good fortune or danger, blue is cool, yellow is happy, white represents purity. But what color is...
