How much money have you made writing so far? I'm wondering if these places like MyLot, eHow, and the others are worthwhile... how much time do you have to spend before you earn anything besides pennies? Just curious ...

I have been with mylot for awhile, and my earnings have been fluctuating. Sometimes I earned 0.5 a day and sometimes it's really little. Also, I have been writing on my blog and on helium, so far I can't say I have made very much since it's hard to keep track of how much I earn there, I would say around $10 a month on average.

You can just join helium! Well, it's not like mylot, I haven't been on ehow, so I don't really know. It's more like writing articles for different topics there at helium!

Hi Jamie, I don't write online for money anymore. In the beginning, I tried it but soon realized any money to be made is not from writing online. Sure, you can make a few dollars here and there and if you're disciplined, you can make a tidy sum. The real money (if you consider yourself a 'writer') is made from selling your writing to magazines or, in a perfect world, finding a publisher who will pay your for your work. Much of the online work is more for entertainment than anything else. I'm sure there will be people who will openly disagree with me. I, for one, never made a lot from writing online. My money is made off line......

Thanks terilee... thats been my feeling since the beginning and I agree completely. I figured I would give this place and a few others a try first though... just to see! :) Its not a serious way to make money ... just something for fun. :)

I made some about 50 $.... Making money from internet is a good work but if we donot take care it will be some huge wastage like money or time...Most important is time...There are a lot of good money offering sites...but at the same level there are scam sites... I prefer mylot as my number one money making site... There are a lot of others... Good luck

I just did my taxes and it looks like I pulled in about $5000 from May-Dec last year from my online activities. It's going so well that I just opened a new GPT site at http://paid4clixonline.greedlead.com Send me a message if you want some other great links

myLot is a penny maker. I spent about 60 hours here in December and made payout. Since then I just peek in now and then and check out what's up. I do it for fun, relaxation, and not the money. I am at three bucks for all of January and February. I do write and make money on my blogs and at Helium, Associated Content, Triond, howtodothings.com, Hubpages, Squidoo, and speakaboutit.com. I work about 120-180 hours a month and am now making $500 a month (I started in August). It is growing and should continue to grow. Each month I make money on the articles I write for that month, but also the articles I wrote the months before that. ehow is a place I have heard good things about. I was just hoping to be able to take some good pictures before writing articles there. August I made pennies. September I made a few dollars. October I made 59 dollars. November I made 300 dollars. December I made 200 dollars (but holidays and such...) January I made 500 dollars. February will be close to 550.

I have made 42 cents here in 1 week. On Helium, I am up to about $2 but it took a long time. I don't think it is possible to make enough money to truly supplement your income on these sites. Only do it if you enjoy it and don't need the money. A part time job at minimum wage would pay more.
