Have you ever been so hyper you wanted to climb the walls or shout till your lungs caved in? I am so bored I cant seem to find anything to do. I feel like I'm going nuts. Please dont offer--- tv/movies, gardening, games, or book reading.

I definitely don't think that these are signs of depression, unless you get really excited, but them crash and have really low lows, then that might be a sign of bipolar disorder. What it does seem like though is that you need to find some sort of hobby, why not try exercising, it should help you get rid of all that extra energy!

I do have good days and then some really bad ones. But mostly life plays a role in that. Mostly a mind game-you have to say things will get better and try and believe it or it wont. I've had so many disappointments and set backs in my life-I'm tired of it. Now when something bad happends I shrug my shoulders and say oh well-and I tryand block it from my mind----so in order to block it from my mind I need a distraction. Does that make since? Its kind of like smoking-when you quit you need something to take the place of it. Heck I jump around the house like a monkey, I can hardly sit still.

It sounds like you are bored, perhaps you have not had anything exciting or stimulating happen in your life for months? I think, most likely TV isn't going to fix it, you need personal connection. Mostly boredom for me and most of the people I know is rooted in a feeling of isolation that you might not realize you are feeling because you are distracted by "doing" and don't notice. I'd say find a friend and do something with them, something that involved talking and interacting. Or go someplace and meat a new friend. There is nothing like getting together with people to cure boredom, since there really isn't such a thing as a boring person once you get to know them.

No, those definitely aren't symptoms of depression.

I know this feeling well, I have it everyday. Ive been given the same advice over and over again, "you need a hobby". How old are you ?, and if you were given a choice to do anything you really wanted to do, what would it be ? Really think about this, and tell me, I bet I know what you will say ( I dont know ), am I right, or am I wrong ?
