Do You Cry?

I posted a video earlier this evening that made me cry when I watched it. I'm not sure if its still there or not. I'm not sure if we are allowed to post videos like that, but it was about our troops overseas. A very awesome video. I watched it twice and both times I had to choke back the tears. Thats pretty unusual for me. I don't cry very easily. Do you find that you cry easily over little things, sad movies, someone elses stories or does it take alot for you to cry?

HI. Are you up late or am I up early? I have not seen your video but I must say that watching troops come home often brings a lump to my throat. I have know a lot of military guys and girls in my life and I tend to think of them when I see troop ships (the end of the Falklands conflict was areal tear jerker for me), planes etc come home. Curiously I don't feel the same when I see the coffins come back. Then I just feel anger at the Government. But let's not go there. My wife and daughter cry at old movies. "It's a Wondeful Life" with James Stewart is guaranteed to set them off.

The video is under my discussion titled "A Must See". Since I haven't had too many responses they probably deleted it, but you can find it on You Tube under the same name I believe. You really should watch it. It is very moving.

It is still there and you are right it is extremely moving. My eyes were moist well before the end. I have forwarded the link to the UK Army Families Federation just in case they have not seen it yet.

I'm so glad its still there and that you were able to view it. It is so moving and the fact that a 15 year old made it is amazing. I'm so glad you forwarded it. I have forwarded it to as many people as I can also.

Sure I cry,it's a very natural function and helps clean out the emotional plumbing, laughing does the same.Do think though like everything else, balance is very important. Cheers

This is where all the wonderful movies come in Kbourgerie, they are one of the best ways to allow us to release stuck emotions. Wether by crying or laughing..all great stuff. Enjoy your next movie.

A point very well made. And yes it is a healthy function, but not always easy for all of us to do.

I think the people that make sad movies or love movies expect us to react to them by feeling emotion. Thats what makes us come back to watch more.

I wouldn't say I cry EASILY...but there are defeniatly things that make me cry! When babies or kids in movies are harmed or killed I get very upset! Depending on how it is delivered, I probably will cry...also depending on how sad the movie makes it. I also get upset when cops die in movies. That's also a sensitive thing for me because I really love and respect police officers. Of course, when children or cops are hurt in real life too I get very upset!

Aww, I'm sorry about your grandfather :( But it's great what he and your brother choose to do! They have 100% support from me! :) Sometimes, depending on the situation...if any actor in the movie is crying for any reason, I may cry too! I may at least tear up.

Its ok for men to cry too. If something effects you deeply then you can't help but feel or display that emotion.

it usually takes a lot for me to cry. sometimes, i may feel sad but i can keep it inside. but nowadays, maybe it's because i'm a mother; but when i see sad movies about children and mothers and you know, basically sad ones, my tear bags tend to get leaky. grins i don't really cry over someone's stories. i might sympathise and all but don't cry. but a sad movie, i'm beginning to notice that i'm getting more prone to tears.

I am easily moved by the happy and sad things alike.I fell proud of that.Only the strong can cry.Week pose brave. I always liked this quote. Heaven knows we need never be ashamed of our tears, for they are rain upon the blinding dust of earth, overlying our hard hearts. -Charles Dickens
