How confident are you about securing fourth place this year?
If it was just Everton in the running I would be extremely confident but its not just a two horse race with Villa, Man City and Portsmouth still in with a chance.
I would hope our quality would shine through but don't feel Torres and Gerrard can do it by themselves

I have the faith that they can clinch 4th position. But I'm sick of them getting 4th in the league for so many years now. They have been inconsistent in their games and sometimes they even draw or lose to the weaker teams in the league, which I find quite unacceptable as a fan of Liverpool. I know very well that they can reach the quality that can put them in 2nd or 3rd place in the league at least. Perhaps they should start to play in the league like how they play in the Champions League.

It is very difficult to be consistent when you have to play with a different person in every position every game. If you notice, our defence has actually been the most consistent throughout Benitez's reign, compared to our midfield and strikeforce which has fluctuated between being great one game and then totally lacking in ideas in the next. Why is this so? Because our defence has largely been the same set of players, especially in central defence. They are used to each other and know what the other will do in different situations. This unfortunately does not translate to the other two departments because you have a different set of players from game to game.

To be honest, Liverpool would probably not be able to get into fourth place this year. Everton and Aston Villa are the two front runners in my opinion, as long as they can remain consistent till the end of the season but that is a lot to ask of any team in the EPL except the top three. We are just too short on ideas every time we have the ball and confidence is low with the manager lacking in the motivational department. However, I am still hoping we make it, because if we don't, it is likely that the team will break up for next season due to financial reasons.

we shouldn't be securing fourth place again this year. We should be among the top 3 or better, top 2. We can do it...
