Does Islam allow telling lies if a lie is going to convert a person to Islam? I have heard someone say like that. But I don't know whether it is true or not. I would appreciate is a Muslim would clarify it. Thanks.

I think you misunderstood me. I am not saying Islam is based on lies. Whether it is based on lies or not is a totally different question. My point is that does Islam permit telling lies?

what you have quoted is an incomplete information, islam has nothing to do wid lie, if one calls towards islam by tellig lies it is not what islam teaches!

Okay. I want to hear. I hope you don't take it as an offence. I said this because I hear people say that. May be the one who told me did not have good idea of Islam. And since I also do not very good idea of Islam I thought I'll ask someone here. Thanks for the comment.

Of course doesn't allow telling lies if a lie is going to convert a person to Islam, so what you heard Is not True . But some people don't mind telling lies if a lie is going to convert a person to Christianity, and they admit that . Romans 3 (King James Version) (7) For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

Well, I have never heard such thing before. But the Bible verse you quote is quoted out of context. The author of Roman 3:7 does not say that such kind of thing is good. He is rather saying that such thing is bad. If you read further you will get the full meaning. Regards, headhunter525
