I have been crocheting awhile and I can usually read a pattern and figure out what it says and that. But I am constantly learning. What I have trouble with is switching colors. I don't really know how to secure the strands so they don't unravel so usually i try to make a small knot around another part to keep it from comming undone. I know this is not the best way to do it. But I don't know how to do it right. Any advice? Can someone try to explain how to do it or show me a place that clearly shows it? I am tired of doing 1 color patterns.

I have a that explains to change colors do it in the middle of the final stitch before the row you are to have the new color in and if you're alternating colors don't cut the yarn until you're finished...good luck and I hope this helps
