How time flies! Now it is almost time for me to go back to work again from the winter vacation after having stayed at home for the vacation and our traditional Spring Festival in my hometown for almost twenty days. In anther two days, I will be travelling to my school on a train with a seat ticket, so unlucky without being able to get a berth ticket to Hangzhou. But anyway I am still very happy for the seat ticket compared with many others, who can not get even seat tickets. It will take me more than 12 hours to get to Hangzhou from Ganzhou on the train. I will be kept very busy once I get back to school for my new-year work. How I miss my vacation that is going to be over! I miss those days during the long vacation at home with the family. We will start to teach on the 20th of February and will not be able to have a rest until after working around fifteen days. I will not start to have my summer vacation until the beginning of July the 5th. So how many of you, my friends, miss your long vacation or holidays? Do you spend your vacation having a good and relaxing time at home with your family and friends? Will you need to have some days to get yourself adjusted to your new work before you start your work? I usually need to have at least three or more days to get myself adjusted. I hope that all of you have had / are having a very good vacation at home or somewhere else. Thanks for reading and responding very much in advance.

Hi Sir William. Yeah....I agree with your statement for "How time flies!". That is time, not only human who can travel around the world, but, time as well and it knows how to 'framed' our travel and the chronology. Huh!!!....back to work again??? Once again, the prettiness of time, it create us with new agenda and always chances us with opportunities. I mean the continuity of our life. Will never end, even though we said there will be a life ending. Time never know the word "end". From me, welcome back to work, Sir William. Have your safe journey from Ganzhou to Hangzhou. Actually what is the linear distance from Ganzhou to Hangzhou in kilometer? As you mentioned, it will takes you 12 hours traveling by train from Ganzhou to Hangzhou, on calculation and let say that train travels at average speed of 80 kilometer per hour; = 12 hours X 80 km/hr = 960 km. Is it 960 kilometer from Ganzhou to Hangzhou? ********** ********** Enjoy your pleasant journey, as previously you took flight went back to your home town, Ganzhou. But this time, I hope you would be able to sincerely upload the Ganzhou's train station to share with members here, ain't you??? Your work resume on the 20th of February, it is Wednesday, till July 5, 2008. Aaaggghhh !!!!, not a long time, it is only 137 days. ***************** YOUR GENERAL QUESTION 1: "So how many of you, my friends, miss your long vacation or holidays?" MY ANSWER 1: Me too, I really miss my long vacation and in future I will schedule new one in June, 2008. ***************** YOUR GENERAL QUESTION 2: "Do you spend your vacation having a good and relaxing time at home with your family and friends?" MY ANSWER 2: No, not at home and I like it to be held far from home with my own family only. No third party involve, I mean my family privacy. ***************** YOUR GENERAL QUESTION 3: Will you need to have some days to get yourself adjusted to your new work before you start your work? I usually need to have at least three or more days to get myself adjusted. MY ANSWER 3: Yeah....sure, at least a week to refresh the quality of works and my mood. ***************** As usual Sir William, happy postings and earnings. Never less for HAPPY DAPPY.

ganzhou railway station in my hometown - Ganzhou Railway Station was built in 1996, which is the second largest city in Jiangxi Province. It is my hometown, a very old city which was built in Song Dynasty.
Hello dear goodsign. The whole distance is 1006 from Ganzhou to Hangzhou by train, taking a little more than 12 hours. But it takes only 1 hour and 40 minutes trip from Shanghai to Ganzhou, which is a direct plane. I flew back home from Shanghai to Ganzhou for the Spring Festival and winter vacation of 2007. But this year as I could not get a direct plane on the 26th, I had to book two plane tickets from Hangzhou to Guangzhou, and Guangzhou to Ganzhou respectively. You know, the Spring Festival is the most important festival of us Chinese, when families meet each other for the get-together of the year. I hope that I am lucky enough to be able to upload the picture of the railway station this time. Thank you so much for the answers to all of my questions.

Dearest William, I am glad that you had a great time in your home town celebrating the spring festival. Nothing like just being you, with your family and in your home town. William, I really envy you. You can afford to take long leaves being a teacher. I think, it comes without even being asked! But we just have to manage with a week at the most. Lucky you!! I do miss a real long vacation. I have so many plans to make different trips to distant parts of India. Do not know when I can actually get to enjoy myself. And regarding adjustment after a vacation, its real hard to cope with real day-to-day world. After my week long vacation last time took me days to adjust and I can understand your plight William. But, I am sure you will get to adjust soon. Have a great life ahead.

Hello dear mimpi. Thank you so much for your response. I am now prepared in the mind to go back to school to begin with my new-term teaching job. I will miss my family a lot and will try to get used to my work again in a short time. Yesterday afternoon I went to visit my parents and today I went with my wife's siblings and her parents to pay a visit to her grandmother and uncles in the town. I am very glad that I have now paid a visit to all of my relatives before I go back to work. Tomorrow I will start my journey to school and will have a very tiring night till day breaks. Thank you very much, dear mimpi. I also wish you a great life ahead.

I don't have such long vacation like you. I wish I were a teacher, too:) It is a tiring trip and I hope you will have a safe and sound trip. I know it won't feel well to sit on the train for such a long time when it is so crowded. I have no idea about the temperature there, I don't know whether it is still very cold and whether the electricity is available now. I know you had a hibernation in this winter vacation:) I had a peaceful Chinese New Year vacation. It is very common. We have a good meal everyday and visit each other. At night, we would sit together and my dad started to have his speech:)

Hello dear youless. I arrived safely at my school yeaterdays morning and now I am in my campus apartment again doing my favorite mylotting as I used to. Yeah, I had an hibernating winter vacation as I did not have electricity for a week and spent more time sleeping and paying a visit to my relatives during the Spring Festival. Thus I spent less time on Mylot, but with my family. Yeah, being on a very crowded train is really a very tiring and bitter thing for me and for anyone. It was so crowded on the train that the whole passage was packed with passengers and their luggage bags. I felt so bad that I could not get a berth ticket back to school. But compared with those with no seat ticket, I am still lucky. Therefore I still feel very happy for the seat ticket. I am very glad to know that you have had a very nice festival with your family as well. I hope that it is not for me to say Happy Spring Festival to you and your family. Thank you so much for your response and happy posting, my dear youless friend.

Time really flies. My vacation of Chinese New Year is over as well. It's really enjoyable to have my 5 days vacation at home with my family. During student time, it's normal to have 1 to 3 months holiday and it's so sweet, especially after embarking on my working life, it's really hard to apply for vacation leave. Usually the longest vacation leave that could be approved by my superior is only 2 weeks. The 2nd longest rest days I got last time was the time I got infected by 'chicken pox' LoL. I was having almost 3 weeks rest during that time. I played games everyday at home. Actually my chicken pox was not severe but in order to prevent it from spreading the disease to other, I was advised by doctor to rest at home. I read news about the heavy snow fall in China causing difficulties for the past few weeks and feel sorry about it. Hope you are not impacted badly by the subtle weather change. It's time for us to preserve the environment to prevent more natural disaster caused by human activity in the world.

Yeah, thanks to the help of the government and the PLA, we are now having our electircity again after around six days' of having no electricity. Many of the electricity poles were ruined by the heavy snow and ice. After their help, they are fixed in my area. Since it is still within the fifteenth of the lunar month of January, which we call Chinese new year, it is not late for me to say to you, Happy Spring Festival to you. I wish you a very prosperous, healthy and wealthy year of the rat.

Hi my dear friend, it is true for the Chinese saying: there is no such gathering of dinner that will never come to an end. Happy moment does fly swiftly without being conscious. Since you had cherished your happy hours with your beloved family, you shouldn’t have any regret over what had passed. There are bound to have ups and downs in life, so do happiness and sadness. Hi jisir, I am quite relieved to learn that you could be able to go back to your working site without being stranded as most of the people had suffered in the snow disaster recently. Anyhow, 12 hours journey traveled with seat ticket could never beat you down, what more for a tough guy like you. Of course, it is nice to travel in a berth where you could have a comfortable rest and sleep. This wouldn’t make the journey too tedious and boring. It is always difficult for us to accustom ourselves to the working days after a long holiday. Anyway, once we have started to work, then we will find no problem to proceed on, as complied with the principal of inertia. Of course, we have to suffer a few days at the beginning to adjust ourselves to another environment. For me, my intensive working days had over, and now I enjoy my work in a more relaxed manner. I will start my new part time job in the early March in a new environment. At present, my husband and I are having our vacation in my son’s place, an island in another state. By the way, I am sure, with mylot as your intimate companion after your working hour, you will find times pass very fast. I believe, very soon, July the 5th will be waiting at your doorstep. Happy journey, my dear friend.

Hello dear lkbooi. I am now in my apartment on campus. I arrived at school this morning at around 11. Yeah, I have more time to mylot back to school as I am alone here. There is nothing else that I like to do in my spare time except my work. So mylot is my best companion away from my home. Tomorrow morning at nine, we will have the first school meeting and then it is time to prepare my lessons for the first few days. I will be very busy by then, but anyway I will still mylot every day. By the way, I really had a very tiring journey back to school as I had to sit all the way to the destination with the train so crowded and hard to move to the toilet along the corridor. My neck does not feel comfortable now and I will sleep earlier tonight to get recovered by tomorrow morning before going to the meeting. Thanks very much for your response and compliment, my dear friend.

Wishing you a safe journey my dear friend, I have just come back from a long weekend away at my beloved retreat, and the day before I was due to return home I booked up our next holiday away in April and again for 10 days in August, it gives me something to look forward to, especially in these cold months. The time away goes far too quickly! I go down to the retreat by the sea to be with my special friends who are very close to me. Take care x

Hello there, if you didn’t mention the vacation, I have already forgotten as many people (include me) have started workings since 02 January onwards except 2 days official days off. ? You are the lucky one just finish a long vacation…and I believe you have made the most of it and had a great time with your relatives and friends. For me, I enjoy going back to work after the vacation as I feel everything is fresh; obviously I would miss the good time I had for the vacation. So I think you must miss all of your lovely students as well; it is about time to see them, right?

Thnk your lucky stars that you are a teacher and get such long holidays twice or thrice a year. Spare a thought for us mere mortals who work at an office desk and have to apply in advance for maybe two weeks' leave and then the HRD will haggle and bargain and chop it down to 10 days at the most. But yes, i understand what you are saying. since childhood and even today, whenever I am returning from vacation I always start praying fervently for the train to be late so that i can enjoy my 'vacation' maybe for a few hours more lol! very childish i know and even the train knows that...it has never run late with me on it.

Hello dear friend. Yeah, there are many friends of mine who admire me being a teacher able to enjoy the two longest vacations a year, winter and summer vacations. Besides we also have some other vacations a year though not so many days as we have for the winter vacation. I love my occupation and have been enjoying it. But I also admire my students when they can earn much more in a company doing business than a teacher does in a school. You know, it is not easy to make both ends meet. hehehehe. Anyway I am happy with my current job. Thank you very much for your response. Have a great day, dear friend.

Dear Williamjisir, It is nice to be back from vacation back to work. It is said that everyone should have a few days off from the work to relax with the family in a new place or home town which is away from workplace. This will in fact help rejuvinate the body and mind. Teaching is a noblest of all professions and you are endowed with the virtue. With your thoughts and speech, I am sure the students are greatly benefitted. All the best in your endeavours.

Good morning, my dear marketing friend. Thank you very much for your good wish to me and the same one goes back to you as well. Yeah, I have the same feeling like that you have. A long vacation makes me want to go on with the vacation without wanting to go back to work, but I have to. Sometimes I would like to think that it would be very nice to be a millionaire so that I would not have to work that hard and can enjoy more of my life. lol. Take care, dear friend.
