I would never change my name to someone elses name no matter what. I would not want to draw that kind of attention to myself. I would rather keep living a quiet life instead.

My very Danish last name is IMPORTANT to me, so if I had the same name as a crimminal, I'd probably change my first and middle name and keep my last name, but if I had to change my last name I'd take Jensen, my Danish grandmother's (Mormor's) birth name.

No I would not change my name because of that. I married into a family of outlaws as it is and my husbands ancestors were in the gunfight at the OK Corral. LOL

Probably not, I mean how many women with the name Katrina went out and had legal name changes after the hurricane wiped New Orleans off the face of the earth? Really, the only problem would be initial meetings with people and stupid jokes by people who think they are funny. A name is a name is should be worn proudly no matter what attachments it has to it. The bad person is the bad person, you only happen to share the name. It should be your duty to go out and make a good reputation for a new now tarnished by evil...but really, thats just my take on this whole situation.
