Did anyone watch "My dad is better than Your dad?"

When I see a new show coming out and they advertise it, I always give it a chance. I seen some commercials about this new show My dad is better than your dad. It's pretty much about young kid's fathers competing to see who can gather more points by doing challenges. It was kind of funny and interesting at the same time. I can't say I'll keep my evening tv watching schedule open for this show.

I thought it was pretty good, but not unique to other shows. The "other" shows I refer to are usually on during the day on weekends... kids' TV. So they tried something in Prime Time because reality shows are all the rage right now. As much as I enjoyed the show, I doubt it will stick around. As the other poster said, once the new episodes of our faves get back on the air, some of these shows will fall by the wayside and then get dumped altogether. I use my VCR to tape shows that come on opposite other favourites, but when there are three shows on at once (which drives me crazy because there will be another night when there is absolutely nothing on), then one gets the shaft. I just tell myself I'll catch it in the reruns, if they have reruns. With all the reality shows, reruns seem to be a thing of the past. The fact that this kid-based show was on at 9pm is going to go against them. I let my 11 year old stay up until 10pm to watch it but she is normally in bed by 9pm. The time slot is going to kill them as well.

They have since changed time-slots. They've flipped it with Deal or No Deal. My Dad is Better Than Your Dad is now on at 8 with Deal or No Deal on at 9. Unfortunately the kids like both shows. I get frustrated with the time-slots of some shows because there are night when there is only one show of interest on, if that, and other nights where there are four good shows on at once. Guess I'm just watching too much TV. LOL!

I watched it because there was absolutely nothing else on. The thing I did like on the show was the older dads that were out of shape that gave it their all. You see the love they had for their kids. But alas as soon as something else is on in that time slot I will be switching channels.

That was one good part of it forsure but I found I lost interest in it also. I don't think I'll be watching this again if I see it on. thanks for your comment

I watched it. I thought it was fun. I felt bad for the kids who got eliminated though. And for the one whose dad didn't know that the author of Harry Potter was a woman lol. I'll probably watch it again as long as it's not up against any of my favorite shows. With the writers strike finally over I'm just waiting for my new episodes :)
