I used to hear alot about Amway and the recently heard the word 'quixtar' mentioned in a conversation. Does anyone have any stories/experiences about this company? Anyone knows the history or what happened? Did talk to a Quixtar person last summer and he said there is a break-off company called 'The Team' that went rouge. Did get hit up by one of them...funny how they wouldn't tell me the name of the company or what they offered until we 'met'. Any stories to share?

I don't have any stories since I haven't heard about Amway in years but just a week ago I was curious and did a search on it. They are still in business and the only way you can sell it is to be sponsored by another rep. It seems they are now into cosmetics too which figures. It looks like they are still expensive the way they always were. If you want to check out their site go to.. http://www.amway.com/en/General/faqs-10229.aspx#10225 It's their home page and answers a lot of questions.

I think amway can no longer operate in north america because of the trouble they got into here. They are everywhere else though. North America is where the quixtar 'replacement' came in. Amway on the internet...any quixtar person will deny that but facts are facts. I run into alot of people when I talk to them about Shaklee asking me if it is amway. Alot of former amway people with burned fingers around here. Do you have any experience with network marketing?

are you/where you a amway/quixtar person? what kind of experience have you had if you were? The only experience I have had with amway is a person I knew calling me up but not telling me the company's name. To me, that is a sham from the word go. I have been a representative with Shaklee for 5 years and have no reason to hide it. I just wonder...how can a company train their people to be that deceitful with the people they would like to work with?

Amway goes by the name Quixtar now since the company got in a trouble a few years ago. I know some people involved with the company, but from what I have heard and seen it is still a big scam pretty much.

You know some people involved with the company? They seem to be trained like mice...hide until the lights are turned off. I know there is one rouge group called 'The Team' that broke away from Quixtar years back. From what I heard they don't sell products...only some leadership materials. Are you involved with any kind of network marketing company? You look pretty young from your picture. Still in school?

There is a lot of crazy companies out there looking to recruit new people into it. I have been in network marketing for some time and am with Shaklee www.shaklee.net/besthealth I love the idea of residual income and my masters paper (I am a teacher by trade) got me to realize the idea of nutrition and its affect on learning. Pretty boring stuff to an outsider I am sure! The trick is finding a company you're excited about and tell other people (the same idea as a favorite movie or store...you want to tell everyone) and the company pays you! Neat. Hmm. Telling people and getting paid. Sound like MyLot is a network marketing system itself! Do you still have contact with that amway person? Would love to chat with them! I guess when you're 38 people who are 24 look pretty young! What do you do for a living?

One of my families very good friends is involved with the company and he has used my parents house before to hold meetings for potentially new members. I sat through one of the presentations before and its pretty much all a load of crap if you ask me. I myself am not involved with any companies, just not my thing. My personal outlook on all programs like Quixtar is that there all garbage. I am young, but not that young. LOL I'm 24.
