A few people have asked me if I suffer from CFS because I am so lethargic, tired and constantly yawning all the time I am trying to narrow down what it could be that is affecting me this way, the GP says it's depression and antidepressants is the answer, I am NOT convinced. I am happy and NOT depressed and do not want to take a drug just to combat tiredness, lethargy and yawning constantly Diabetes is clear, anaemia is negative. I have a constant thirst all the time I have got another appointment with a different GP on Tuesday and was wondering if there is a test for CFS? Or whether I could ask her about it Do you have any experience with CFS, do you suffer with CFS or do you know anyone who suffers with CFS Is there a test? Are there drugs or alternatives (food/vits) that could help? Thank you my lovely sisters and friends x

CFS Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is mind-body disease. If you are ready for total transformation, I have few ideas for you. 1. Discipline for your sleep time. Means always the same time in your bed. Wake up at similar time. 2. Drink only water and tea (coffee at AM only)and no soda drinks 3. Walk at least 4 miles per day 4. Change your diet with a lots of green veggie and fruits. Limit pasta and bread. No pizza or canned soup. No sugar at all. 5. Listen to Reiki music or Nature Music 6. Spend time away from the city. 7. Take Thai-Chi classes 8. Watch comedies (no horrors) HUGS!

Dear Wolfie, Have you tried sleeping regularly for fixed hours atleast eight hours daily? Do you keep late nights? If so why don't keep to strict timings and see. I have seen this type of fatigue and tiredness in many people who have late nights and who are on computer most of the time. Even if you strain your eyes also for a long time without rest you get this yawning and tiredness. Your Doctors may not believe this or accept this. If you like you can try it out for some days at least. You'll know if I am right or wrong. I have seen this in my children and in myself when I spend too much time on the net. So I give my eyes rest for half an hour at least every now and then. You must have been collecting your sleepless hours. That's why this problem has arose. I am a homeopathic doctor myself but I believe in nature cure more than anything.

Believe me I could easily sleep longer! I have to have 9 hours MINIMUM! And sometimes I could go on sleeping. I used to stay up till 2am in the morning yes on the computer. Now I have been very strict with myself and my computer always gets turned off at 12am sometimes 11.30pm then I read which helps me to sleep then I will get up at 9.30am in the morning. I do a lot of work on the computer and can be on the computer 7-8 hours a day sometimes longer. I have glasses for the computer for my eyes, but for reading, watching tv, normal activities I don't need them. Thank you for the information, appreciated.

Dear wolfie, Then your body really wants all that sleep you missed out back. That's why even 9 hours of sleep doesn't seem enough for you. For some days sleep more as much as you can and you'll see the difference. This is what the nature cure people say. Give your body rest and light food and not heavy food. In the night before you go to bed take very light food and sleep off. It will help you avoid meds. If you believe me do it and see for some days at least. You might yet come out of this CFS.. God bless you dear..

No I haven't but I would like a job in the caring community, I am a good listener! Mind you I could definitely do a better job than my GP, mind you having said that the local Tom Cat has got a better bedside manner than him LOL!

I have not experienced CFS and I also don't know anyone who have it. However, I have a friend who seems so seem to see only negative things before and has the tendency to creat a mountain out of a molehill from a bad situation. But she seemed to snap herself out of it all the time. She also sweat out a lot and takes a lot of exercise which releases the happy hormone. So maybe her being active helped, in a way, combat whatever she may be feeling from turning into full blown depression. I also heard somewhere that depression is really a kind of illness and needs to be diagnosed by an expert. The best move would really be to consult the experts. Wish you all the best!

Sorry to hear that you are suffering from fatigue. I do often feel fatigued also. I looked it up just now online, and on the www.cdc.gov site says there is no diagnostic laboratory test or biomarker for CGS. ANd it is common to many other illnesses. That is so great that you are doing all you can to diagnose yourself, and seeing several doctors. Keep it up, and I hope very much that it is solved soon! Hugs!

I'm damn sure on my medical notes I'm down as a hypochondriac and they shudder every time I come in with a list! Mind you if they treated me with more compassion and not just a number I would have these ailments dealt with! Hugs to you my friend, I needed them x

Well, keep us up to date on how it is going. Although they can help us so much, many of them can be too snobby or stuck up too. It is great how well you follow your symptoms. I'm actually still recovering from a long flu (though I got the shot too). Hugs again.

I wish I could help sweets but I haven't really dealt with it before! My boss's daughter had ME a few years ago and it was a long road back to health - at one point she couldn't even feed herself! Porridge - eat lots and lots of it , that will build you up! Niamh loves to have her porridge anytime! Love you xxx

Hon, I was diagnosed with CFS many years ago along with a huge list of others.. I truly believe that if you can get as many toxic things out of your immediate environment it will help..Big thing is to launder your bedding in a natural cleaner..I know you don't have shaklee there but you do have some green cleaners.. Start small and keep adding. Body non-soaps,shampoo,etc those things touch your body which means they are absorbed into your skin..Try green clean..Doll. Next thing is tell yourself you are not tired and go do something..Build a birbhouse..put a jigsaw puzzle together..paint your room..Look around ..does something need doing..do it..celebrate your every accomplishment! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoo

I have had no personal experience with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, wolfie, but I have heard that it is one of those conditions that is very hard to diagnose because it carries so many symptoms of other illnesses. You are doing the right thing by getting a second opinion. Sometimes even a third opinion is advisable. I don't know if you are familiar with the talk show host, Montel Williams, but he suffered with Multiple Sclerosis for 9 years before he was properly diagnosed. Don't give up until you find the answers you are seeking.

No, I don't believe there is a test to determine if you have CFS. I know a couple people that have it and it is amazing how bad it can be, when there is no real cure for it either. One of my friends has it really bad, to the point that she doesn't live wll. She is always so sore and tired that she can't stay awake more than 2 hours and needs to take a 1 hour nap. I don't think that you have CFS because it would be more dilibating if you did. I know I am always tired too and lethargic but I think it is because I don't sleep well at night. For example, last night I didn't fall asleep till 2:30am and now it is 8:30am and I am here in mylot. I could fall back to sleep now, but I couldn't sleep 10 minutes ago so that is why I got up. I feel exhausted right now but I can't go back to sleep because I have to go clean a house today, that I get paid for doing.
