In these days I'm doing some works to my pc and I would like to ask you if I should use Windows XP or I can pass to use Vista. And if I could use Vista, what kind of Vista can I use (home, business, etc.). Thanks!

This really depends on what components or software you have on your computer. Windows vista is not an upgrade from Windows XP but a totally new system, so you cannot make do with the drivers written for Windows XP etcetera. Windows Vista is fine if you have a new computer because it will contain new components and up to date software, otherwise it can be a serious problem. Try using the Microsoft website to check your system for compatability before installing Vista.

Vista has very good networking (Firewall), aswell as windows defender. Vista is better if you have a current pc you can use it on. Also, reminder people that new programs are being programed for vista not xp.

We just bought a new computer with Vista on it - most of the time I enjoy it, but it is very difficult with other programs that are not compatible with it yet.

Spyware is computer software that is installed surreptitiously on a personal computer to intercept or take partial control over the user's interaction with the computer, without the user's informed consent.

Well,I have think more of Windows Vista curbing the speed of the computer and the de3vice getting hanged numerous time...So i advice you to go for Windows XP which is the best and even supports DOS...But if u still insist on going for Windows Vista...I suggest you to go for Home edition rather than any other..

Most every new computer (unless you ask specifically otherwise) comes with Windows Vista. But I've not talked to one person who hated Vista and had XP put back on. I've not tried Vista myself, but I'm kinda of the mindset "if it ain't broke don't fix it". I would say if you're happy with what you're currently using, just keep it. Good luck!

Well I would like to suggest you to use Vista Home Edition, but if incase if you dont want to use vista because of any reason then go for Windows XP professional with Vista Transformation Pack, this gives you a Vista look on windows xp platform. But i would prefer you use windows xp professional with vista transformation pack. this is good option for windows vista.

Firstly, are those programs you are using compatible with Vista first? If they are not stated to be compatible, you are better off not using Vista...Check the website and see if the version is compatible... If you are using the latest versions of the programs, they should be Vista compatible unless stated otherwise.. Also, if you are going to use Vista, it depends on your PC specifications on whether it can handle the OS. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919183/en-us You need at least 1GB of memory, but recommended 2GB... i suggest u to use windows XP 'cos in vista only the graphics and displays are good.it doesn't appear to be user friendly when compared to XP.
