My kids have always been that way...and now that they are teenagers they really REALLY are that way LOL BUT I think its because they have had to deal with some things that many kids dont have to so young and that caused them to really grow up quickly..Plus I have never treated them like "little kids" for example by the time they were toddlers (2-3 yrs old I mean) I wasnt talking to them like they were little babies....I also have never coddled them..that sort of thing drives me absolutely NUTS!!

Yes I think every parent experiences this, they are just mini adults really aren't they. My four year old is like a little old man at times some of the things he comes out with, bless and because I am bringing up alone, he actually tells me he is the man of the house. I'm sure my girls think they're my mother at times. They are right and know it all, even when we tell them through life experience what will happen, they do it and what you told them would happen does, but as a parent I have learnt never to say 'told you so' and let them be. Its wonderful. I love being a parent, it is one of my most fulfilling roles in life, also the most frustrating at times though. Ellie :D

lol...yes! My 7 year old always thought he was a big boy. I sometimes feel he missed a phase. He seemed grown up since he was a baby...and I had absolutely no trouble with him. Always well-behaved and helpful. Now that he has his 15 month old brother around, he's even more helpful and is like a protective father for the younger one. We are not allowed to raise our voice at the little one...and he thinks taking care of the little one is his responsibility. Kids! lol....enjoy them while we can..that's all I have to say!

LOL yes, I have five kids, and they all (even the 3 yr old) seem to know it all. Drives you crazy at times. :O) But my 12 yr old is the biggest know it all on the planet. You can't tell that boy anything cause he already knows it.
