For me its a superb masterpiece, one of the best that ive ever red. I'm a Dan Brown fan and ive been reading his works ever since, Angels and demons is actually the first adventure of historian Robert Langdon before the controversial supernovel The Da Vinci Code, but i like angels and demons better. It is about the ancient war between science and the church that still exists this modern day. When a scientist/physicist found ded in his own private lab inside CERN- an advanced hi tech and top secret community for scientist in nevada, switzerland, where the worlds best and brightest minds works together to invent advanced technologies for far future. This is where langdon summoned from new york to help uncover the truth behind this murder, involving new powerful invention-the anti-matter, and its connection to the incidents happening in Vatican, the sudden death of papa, the series of murders of the candidates for papacy, which is each of the bodies discovered branded on their chests, an ILLUMINATI brand- an ancient brotherhood of the believers of science and arts and enemy to the church. Believe me you cant put it down once you start reading it, you will be thrilled to discover so much more than an ordinary people must know and so many secrets other(powerful} people hides and give you what they want you to believe in,and in order to protect the terrible truth. and well its an extraordinary opportunity for langdon and his gorgeous partner viktoria a particle physicist and daughter of the murdered physicist, to discover some interesting facts while they are running against time. so better find out if its hot for you or not..

Well I read the Da Vinci Code first but then read Angels and Demons. I loved both books. I'm looking forward to reading more of his and also they are supposed to be making Angels and Demons into a movie. I think that will be great to see :) It was a great page turner and really kept you going until the very end. That's the type of mysteries I like. I hate it when I solve them way too early. It is one I'd recommend to anyone to read who likes mysteries. He certainly knows how to lead you along without giving too much away, that takes a lot of talent for a writer to do.

it'll be great if they make into a movie! im sure there a lot of readers who's eager to see that in pictures plus it'll also be very controversial because the story involves with the church and science which is in fact a big issue in real life.. :-)

It's scheduled at this point to come out in May of 2009. Not too far off really and Tom Hanks is going to reprise his role of Robert Langon. I can't wait to see how they do it and if it's as good as the book was. You can read more about it or check on the status of it at IMDB.com http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0808151/

Angels & Demons was an excellent read- a real page turner that I give two thumbs up to. I also read The DaVinci Code- which was another excellent read- I think I'll take a trip to the book store and pick up Crypto next- or maybe The Conspiracy - not sure yet- but I'll be sure to post on it when I get it ;)

This book is arguably one of the classic reads of modern times. Dan Brown outdid himself when he wrote this extraordinary piece. The one thing i love about Dan Brown is the extensive research he puts in for his books. 'The Da Vinci Code' and 'Angels and Demons' are the perfect examples of his carefully researched materials. Even though his books are not very popular among academics but to a common person like me it gave an interesting new look to the past and new insight into the very foundations of one of the worlds oldest and powerful religions. I also loved 'The Digital Fortress'. Though it had nothing to do with history and coffins and religion it had every bit of element that can make a book worthwhile. Although I have to say I was a bit disappointed with his fourth book 'Deception Point'. But nevertheless i think Dan Brown is an exceptional writer.

Shocking novel! I read it before Davinci Code and found that Angels and DEmons is better than Davinci Code. I was wondering how Brown has so much shocked the faith of the Christians even more. Smart way of writing and a very detailed plot, as the readers is driven away by the story. Finish this book only in 3 days. I even forgot to eat because the novel made me so curious about what to happen next!

Its a book, that never made me think of anything else than the contents of the book and keep me in full concentration. Thats the skill of Dan brown to attract readers, and he din make it to accept his writings rather to enjoy reading, i believe thats Dan brown style.

Actually I first read The Da Vinci Code, and I was so hung by the way it was written, so fast paced and very much action-packed. I hanged on to every word and every sentence and it was a good read. Then I read Angels and Demons. It was one of the great books that I would recommend to read. It was true that ever since the beginning of time science and the church had never agreed, and were teaching (then) what they think is true. They had Galileo arrested for what he studied, right? But the idea of the anti-matter is so good, that I think if it is developed everything would change. I also love those little illustrations that when read either way would tell the same thing. I thing Dan Brown's books are leaping away from conventional thinking, saying that we should all be aware of what came to be. It opens our eyes to new ideas, might be saying that there are a lot of ideas in the world and that everything could be tied together, even the most extremely different ideas. Just like the Bible and Science.

That was a great book! I read it after the DaVinci Code, I'd never heard of Dan Brown before. I went on to read a couple of his other books and they were great!

i read it at last.. not because i didnt have the access to it but because i wanted to save the best for the end... i read da vinci first which instantly made me a fan of the author. the most remarkable thin i found bout the author is he researches bout all that he's goin to write upon n each n evry fact of his in his books is true n worth findin out for ourselves.. i nvr knew anythin bout "antimatter" before i read tht book... it not only provides with a fiction material to read but also with the knowledge other authors don provide us with... it's amazin to know the various facts n strengths of life around us...
