With candleight, soft music, flowers the whole bit! I rarely ever do that and I probably should more often to keep the flame burning in our marriage. Does anyone here have candleight romantic meals with their loved one?

Are you kidding cat? It's common place around our house. It's not that my husband expects it, but he's come to realize it's one of the ways I can show him how much I appreciate what he does. My theory is; He gets up every morning, goes to a job he doesn't 'love', works with idiots all day, has to deal with the public who doesn't know or appreciate him. He faces public officials, nasty citizens, people who would love to see him suffer, he deals with traffic, hatefulness, and eveything else, while I sit in my Ivory tower, protected from all of this. The LEAST I can do is keep his house clean, make sure his clothes are clean, cook interesting meals and show him how much I care. We have special dishes, candle holders, favorite music, his favorite food and last but not least,,,,,, da da da da.........me...with my hair done, make up on and wearing something he likes. (I'm not gonna say what that is)...lol [or isn't].......

Thats great Terri, there aren't many women around like you. You remind me of that song from the 60's "Wives and Lovers" You are right though, when a man is doing all that just for you then he deserves pampering. I'm sure you do plenty for him and work hard at home doing things for him. I know I do and my husband doesn't even work any more because he is on disability now, but I still cook and clean, do laundry, etc. I think I just got used to it. When he was working I got up at 4:30 am with him every morning. I'm sure your husband enjoys all that you do!

Oh yah, we still do that, especially since we have no kids at home anymore. Once in a while, (I started doing this myself), we'll draw a bath for each other, with tons-o-bubbles, candles, and music that we love, and just relax. There are alot of ways to keep the flame burning, just gotta use your imagination...Have fun!!!! :o)
