Heard the news about the death of Benjamin Sargent? This is the 5 month old baby whose parents left him strapped onto a car seat without food or water for 8 days while they went about playing video games, watching tv, feeding and caring for themselves! What can you say about parents like these? Do they even deserve to be called parents at all? And when the mother was questioned about this, she acts callous and even somewhat annoyed, saying it was the father's responsibility and not hers? I did hear this story, and it sickens me. I think people like this deserve to have the book thrown at them. I have heard of people forgetting the baby in the car for a few hours, and that is bad enough- but 8 days??? How does that happen? These people deserve to spend the rest of their worthless lives in prison, hopefully getting the usual treatment for people who commit crimes against children.

There are no words that could describe such a horrific thing! It's absolutely sickening to think that there are people like them out there. We can only hope they don't represent the bulk of their generation. We already know that many of today's parents are lazy, but OMG not THAT lazy!
