Are You a Kitchen Picker?

This is a bain of my life, picking in the kitchen! I did stop doing it for a while, but was horrified the other day when I caught myself doing it again. I made sandwhiches for my childrens lunches and they have the crusts cut off, I ate most of them. I made my eldest son cheese sandwiched and then picked at the cheese. I was cooking oven chips for their tea and kept picking at them to see if they were cooked, I made beans to go with the chips and kept having a spoonful to test if they were cooked and then after all that I sat down and ate my tea, and I wonder why I have put a bit of weight on. How about you do you pick in the kitchen? What do you do to stop yourself?

My OH is he will stand in front of the fridge and eat stuff while he is deciding what to eat! Im constantly telling him to stop and if im cooking then he is in the kitchen "tasting" as he calls it. LOL

Well I'm a fridge raider! Whenever I go downstairs to the kitchen I have to open the fridge up and there's things in there to nibble at, I am always hungry! And I will snack between meals, so what I try and do is make fruit, yes I do put fruit in the fridge to make them more crunchy is to pick at fruit when I raid the fridge or a piece of celery to nibble on. When you are in a picky mood try and pick at vegetables or fruit and munch those when you are making sandwiches or meals for your children, so you won't be tempted.

well I love celery actually so that is a good idea to have that to hand, but then again i would have to have a dip to go with it, I dont eat a lot of fruit I dont like it much, love pomegranates though but they would be way too picky to pick at!!!

Constantly. I'm a very basic cook and rarely use a recipe, so I taste as I go. I also will grab one or two chocolate kisses from the fridge when I open it, or a handful of corn chips or pretzels when my husband has the bag open and laying around. Its those little things we don't often think about when we can't understand why the weight isn't coming of when we're dieting. I'm guilty ...
