Which is great taste roasted or steam chicken ? For me steam is great than roasted because its not oily and their taste is so smooth.. When visited chicken rice restaurant , the fist menu I'd looked was steam chicken. I also sometimes cooked steam chicken by myself at home. Very nice, tasty and umhhh..Im getting hungry now lol !

tell you, i promise steam is much better than roasted, for roasted is not good to your health. as i am a chinese, i know two kinds of "steam" methods. one is put the chicken into the water and cook directly while the other is put the chicken in a bowl then bowl in the water and cook. Both are nice but which one do you choose?

I used that second way that put the chicken in the bowl then put the bowl in water and cook. Thats way is better, put the chicken directly the water is not tasted, its just like a chicken soup. Yes, chinese very expert on how to steam chicken. Thats why I always prefer to go to chinese's chicken rice restoran. I like the sauce they used.

ooo I do cooked chicken soup and I'd put the ginger. Ginger is good for health. I dont have a place to pet chicken, I also dont like to kill chicken , lol ' I bought chicken at market ( processed chicken ). Chicken's price in my place is quite cheap, converted to US dollar its around 2 dollar per kg, guess so.

well, i show the cook order of the first way as follows: 1,boil the water in a big pot 2,put the clean chicken into it and then cook it for about 10 mins 3,take the chicken out and put it in to cold water at once! 4,do pace 2 &3 for other 2 times 5,cut it into blocks, enjoy it with sauce we only cook mature chicken by this method. the famous kind chicken in China is named "three yellow". the reason is "yellow beak, yellow feather, yellow claw". Of course, this method need sauce. no sauce no delicious. And the soup, we often use it for noodles. but to me, i'd better like the second way. it often used to cook the youth chicken. do you use ginger and shallot? i like cook chicken with those both. and we chinese often use monosodium glutamate. do you use it? and last, i wonder if you buy an alive chicken and kill it by your self.

I havent tried steamed chicken, but it sounds real nice and sort of makes me hungry. I would also prefer steamed over roasted, since their is no oil and stuff. Damn, im going to ask my mom if she can do some steamed chicken for me, she cooks food for me and gets some bucks for it. She is sort of a health freak and she wants me to slim down, so thats why she also cooks food for me.

Yea, and love to eat her food, its like 100 billion times better than my own cooking. Both me and my dad feels like she should educate herself to become a dietist, she would make it with no problem. I give her some money as thanks for cooking food for me, and its well worth it. I will ask her when i met her, majbe its something possible for her to do. If i had the cash id buy cooking mama, i feel that she would like that game. Not all moms are cooking experts, still its better that they know something rather than nothing. its not nice to live primarely on precooked food, both expensive and not healthy.

Yes you are right. Precook food is costly and are unhealthy. I used to eat at the restaurant because of my time. Anyway since few months ago, I'd started my diet plan that go to swim once a month, cook at home, eat many fruits. I dont like to eat vegetables but I do forced myself to eat it. And of coz, chicken is my favourite, everyday never miss it :).

i prefer roast chicken because is less oily and no extra oil needed. as for steam chicken, is more oily because you usually steam the chicken with the skin on. i normally peel off most skin when cooking meat

I have tried both, and they're so tasty! But I like roasted more than steamed, it brings out more of the chicken juices, and the roaseted skin! yummy
