Do you serve your dog as one of your family members? Im not sure how to explain about my dog but my family give foods and drinks daily to our dog. And we built a small place to the dog to live. My family always play with the dog also. The dog also always accompany me to walk around. Yes , I should say that our dog is one of our family members. The different is we are human and dog is animal.

In my house the dogs are definately a part of the family. I have one (the one on my avatar) that is so polite, last Sun. My 2 yr old daughter fell asleep while she was eating and Radar sat there watching for her to wake up and HAND him some food, as opposed to snatching it out of her tray. haha.

my dogs didn't need somewhere built for them to live because they are real members of our family. they live in our home. after all, I wouldn't make any other family member sleep outside.

I regard pets are our family members. They are nothing different. We had a dog before and we treated him very well. He was just like a member of our family.

I grew up on a farm but my mothr and father never let a animal in the house. We lived in a big old farm house..my father did not own the land but he was a share cropper and worked the land..we had pigs, cows, bulls, chickens ..and he grew wheat, corn, oats, and soybeans..but we had big vegetalbe garden and fruit trees mostly apple and cherry and pear..strawberry.well you know..what this is no dog in house..but we always have dog that stayed outside for alarm system? he chage varmits like raccoons and such..but the rabbits too..as they eat the crops.. so we have lots of cats too my mother provided food for thm..but always outside But now I got married and my wife have to children of her own and she was always a nanny so she gets dog..she name Scarlett...cocker spaniel terrier..female..fixed..but nice calm dog..lived 16 years but she was our baby.. then Scarlett kidney failed..probably to much protein in diet..but she was put to sleep as she suffered total kidney failurel.. so we get a baby toy shih tzu named Reggie..he is about 15 pounds and very long hair as its winter..he is black and white..but he eats his own food..and has his own bed(s_) and has a lot of toys..so i bonded with these animals as it makes my wife happy...the things we do for love? but animals can feel love and fear..so they know who cares for them...but the dog is the first domesticated animal. Shih Tzu is Chinese for LION and they came from Tibet..brought to the King of China for lap dog..much prized by Royal family... Years ago i never think much of dog or cat..they wre just there..but so was with my wife when she grew up..but people change..we had Reggie when he was only six weeks old and he was so very little...but they are known to lover your blood pressure and help you live longer.

Just like you, we treat our dog as a member of the family. He can eat just about the same thing we eat. He plays around with the children and is hugged and kissed just like the children are too. We talk to him a lot like a human being, and he can understand us too. He is just like one of the kids. He knows when he is being scolded, he knows when we are all in a good mood to play around. Sometimes he is stubborn, sometimes he is spoiled. Almost just like a human being!
