Does a computer think as a mankind?

Mankind has ability of thinking, does a computer can think ?

I dont think so that computer can ever think like a man can do. A man can make computers but a computer can't make a man. So the thing which a man use to program the computer the computer do only those tasks. And the rest of them are unknow to the computers..

no they can't, some computers have this so called "artificial intelligence" but not "real intelligence" it needs a lot of computing software and really big memory plus a very very very fast processor to enable to achieve that state.

The field of artificial intelligence has not reached this level at present. We can program a computer to perform random tasks that give the impression of independant thought, but in reality it is simply following a set schedule of pre programmed events.

computer can work much faster than a human being but it can never act to the emotions and stress conditions.

It should have artificial intelligence to "think" as we do,but the better term is processing.The verb to think is reserved to living beings which have brains.That's how I'd use it anyway.

i don't think the computer thinks itself.Men made it to do some work quickly.if it has not been programmed it has no use.if men do not upgrade it it is useless.so it is just a little child of men's brain
