Chastity belts. Would you wear one?

At lunch today our conversation got onto King Arthur and Guinevere. This reminded me of a school boy joke which I won't bother you with here. But if your lover asked you to prove your fidelity by wearing a chastity belt whilst they went away for a month. Would you?

They're not cast iron. They're shaped & forged iron. Showers are out of the question. Sponge baths only. Regular oilings are required to prevent rust as well.

Won't it rust in the shower if it's made of cast Iron? LOL

Are chastity belts even real? I thought it was just used as a joke on comedies such as Family Guy and Meet the Spartans.

Actually during the mideaval ages girls were considered to be the property of their fathers. A well to do family would often force the girls to wear them ( & they have a lock to prevent removal ). The father chose her suitor & they entered into a contract. he would be presented with the key during the wedding ceremony as the father gave his daughter away. The ones you find in the adult stores aren't the same as the old ones.

Take yourself to any adult on-line store and you will find something to keep you or your partner in check.

It seems pretty silly that anyone would go to that length to keep themselves "pure".

I was under the impression those things were unsanitary and presented some serious Health concerns. Didn't some ladies become seriously ill and even die from those?

Some of them are friends and they are pretending to play it straight. Either that or, like me last night, they were so tired after a weekends hard myLotting that their poor dear brains had become befuddled. I had been hoping for some racier responses. But there we are. I am not complaining. Maybe I should have asked about cyber chastity belts.

This is an interesting discussion. I would have to say No I wouldn't. Because if my lover questioned my fidelity to the point of feeling they needed to ask, we obviously had some more serious issues then whether or not I could keep my legs closed for a month.

Oh, you've touched on one of my favorite things in the world, p1kef1sh - but not chastity belts, Arthur and Guinevere. I love anything Arthurian, absolutely anything. I can imagine some good conversations with you about this. But, wear a chastity belt? Nope. Wouldn't do it. I just couldn't bring myself to, whether I was faithful or not. And if my lover or husband didn't trust me enough to leave me on my own, then what basis would we have for our relationship? I think that we have to have trust, and this is going to sound strange, whether or not it is warranted or deserved. If I were a little more sharp right now, I think I could explain what I just said, but fow now, please just take me at my muddled word. I'm so tired, so tired, and thinking is just not my strong suit right about now, p1kef1sh. Forgive?

I should have read what you said before I wrote my comment. LOL Then I could have said, yeah what she said instead of just explaining what you said only with less words.

Who needs a chastity belt when you've got that bloody round table between you. Go get some sleep Nova. You'll be hotter tomorrow and you know it.

Well, I'd wear one but I don't see the point. I love my Hubby enough that I'd never cheat on him and hopefully he knows that. Also if he insisted that I wear one I'd have to wonder if he really trusted me which would be an issue for us. If it was just a joke though, I might just to humor him. Thankfully I don't live in the middle ages where those things were common place. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

People do still wear them. I've not tried yet though! LOL. I think that there would be something troubling if a partner thought that it was necessary.

I most definitely would if that is what it took for them to feel at ease while being away. My husband has been gone almost a year and i would have worn one the whole time had he asked me to, but thankfully we have enough faith and trust in one another that we didn't have to go that route. LOL! thanks for posting and God bless

Yes, I would. We're married with 2 kids, so it's not like I'd have time for much else anyway, and not that I'd really want to.

No, no, you misunderstand. I'd be more than willing to wear the chastity belt, so long as he would too. I have a child of my own and a stepson, so it's not like I'd have time to mess around on my husband anyway, and not that I'd want to mess around on my husband in the first place. The spirit is NOT willing, and the flesh is NOT weak. You see, when we married, we told each other that if one of us ever got tired of being with the other, there would be no cheating involved. We would just tell the other one "look, remember that agreement we had? yeah, I'm invoking it now" and that would be that. Divorce would ensue, and then each of us would be free to do what the hell ever we wanted. The parting would not be amicable, but we would know that for the duration of our marriage that the other was faithful, and truthful. On the brighter side, I love my husband very much, and I have the ultimate degree of trust and respect for him, as he does for me. He may piss me off from time to time, but I love the man with everything I have in me. He's my best friend, my lover, my confidante, my HUSBAND, and nothing could ever shake what we have. I will kick @ss like you have never seen @ss get kicked to protect my family, and if any girl were to try and take him from me, so help her God, she wouldn't make it out of the fight without a month-long trip to the hospital. And you better believe that my husband would do the same to any guy. So if he was to leave for a month on a business trip or whatever, I wouldn't be asked to wear a chastity belt in the first place. He knows he can trust me with managing our finances, raising our kids, running our household, etc, so why the hell shouldn't he be able to trust me with fidelity too? No, it isn't any different. Marriage is a sacred trust, and trust is trust is trust.

I'm surprised. I thought that you would be all indignant. Don't know why. But you do say that you wouldn't actually want to. I know what you mean about the time though. The spirit is willing but the flesh is so weak

No I would not wear it. What if he would lose the key? Fidelity must be kept even with intentions. One can be unfaithful with his or her mind too.

Hello, p1kef1sh. That is not hard to answer. I surely would wear a chastity belt if that was going to make my love feel better. However, I would not wear it alone. My love would have to wear it aswell. Both of us wearing it. But I don't think that this is pretty correct. I mean, if I was with somebody, I wouldn't want to be asked for a proof of love like that. Nah, I'd like the woman to trust me more than anything, instead of having to ask for proofs like that. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

Of course I remember her. Maybe Hillary wouldn't have been such a sour puss if she'd locked Bill up!

I think I would wear one for fun and to humour them but I would think that I wouldn't need to wear a chastity belt for my lover to be able to trust me. There should be trust and faith in any relationship in order to make it work out.
@p1kef1sh (45681)

I agree completely. If there is no trust, their is no relationship. Many thanks.

NOOO WAYYYYY! I just couldn't anyway. I get yeast infections if I don't air out the area at least a few hours a day. So it would be impossible for me to bear with all the itching, don'tcha know. And I think that would be demeaning anyway. To not be trusted. That would suck. I give it and I expect it. And I've earned it well.

Let it all breathe free Annie. I guess that with a chastity belt it would be suck! Not much else you can do. LOL.

Whoa - I just noticed how old this was, yet it was on the home page. Hmmmmm. Guess it means I have to respond. And, my answer is a resounding NO!!! But, not because of the chastity part. Because I'll be dammed if I'll be asking anyone for the key so that I can use the toilet!!! That's all MY doing and I don't want to be tracking down any keyholder just to do that - by the time I find the person, it may well be too late!! As for the chastity - I don't need no stinkin' chastity belt to help me with that. I won't elaborate, but trust me - I don't need help.
@p1kef1sh (45681)

I was a little surprised to see it back to haunt me too! I think that they have toilet facilities built in. I'm now going to have to go and research that. The things that I do!! LOL. I'm sure that you don't need any help in that department. Have fun.
