Following the disclosure (on a American Hack's site) that Prince Harry was fighting in Afghanistan should he have been brought home? I think he should have stayed.

I disagree with you. If Harry had stayed the taliban would have gone after him and it would have put his buddies in more danger than they already were. i for one am glad he was sent home.

I think that just shows our fear of the Taliban. We have, by removing him from danger, shown the Taliban that they have the power to influence our decisions. I think this is a moral victory for the Taliban and, as such, something we should have avoided at all costs.

So you let Harry and those serving with him be in extra danger to Prove that you don't fear them? What if your brother were serving with and that the taliban came after him just because your brother is there next to Harry?

I am very fortunate that no members of my Family are in the Military. It would be great if no-one was out there. However, we face a different reality and we have placed our Armed Forces in danger. Does having Harry present make it any more dangerous - I am not sure that it does.

With due respect to Harry and his famuly, why should ANY son of anyone be out there risking their life?

I hesitated before replying again because you also have a point - wasn't/isn't this a 'peace mission' and not a war?

That is an interesting point and a different discussion. It would be nice if wars could become a thing of the past.
