Why do some of MyLotters ask a question and not tell their opinion

I have seen a few discussion topics, where the person simply writes a 1 line of question. They wont describe it comepletely, nor do they give their opinion about the matter - Just 1 line of question. Do u do the same? Are your discussions also that short? Or do you try to explain as much as possible?I always have 3 parts in my discussions:) 1. The scenario. 2. The actual question/problem. 3. My opinion about it. Even this discussion has those 3 sections:) Share me about how you post comments/discussions.

I try and write as much as possible giving my opinion and always posing a question adding why, to ensure I get opinions not just one word answers. I sometimes wonder why I do this, as it takes time to write out and there are members who don't do it. I don't mind that much if their english isn't good but it still would be a good idea, if they tried to expand their knowledge of english by writing more into their discussions.

Ya very true, Some of them can really improve their writing skills just by posting discussions in a more elaborated way (but ofcourse relevant talks). I make sure that my discussions are clear. So i explain as much as possible. Thanks for ur post! Continue the great work.

I'm not sure those people who post one liners earn anything for those posts. As far as I know, we would be credited for posts with some 5-6 sentences. That's usually the number of sentences I write in my own posts and responses. When I start a new discussion, I would begin with a question, and then describe my thoughts about what I just asked, then throw back the question to the others in the end. Sometimes I would also begin with an experience I had at a certain time, then end it with a question for the others to respond to. That way, it would make other mylotters find it easy to respond or react to my discussions.

Earning is secondary. Atleast what people write here should be understandable. I write as much as possible so as to make the other person understand what i am trying to tell. I can even tell the same thing in 1 line. But, by explaining it well, others will be able to get to know the question in a better way. Well that is my opinion. Thanks for ur post. Great going! God Bless.

These kinds of discussion are mainly made by the people who are after the money count here. You cannot blame them because they are in this forum for money alone and it is very fair because Mylot is a paying forum. Second type of people who ask these kind of one liners don't know what they are asking? They come across a fancy word in a magazine or net and ask What is that? How can we expect anything else from them. So this is a melting pot and we have to choose the types of discussions which suit our taste which are plenty too.

Yup you are right... Its either that they are bothered about money, or they have very less time to actually analyze the situation and give a detailed post. Cant blame them :) Anyways, thanks for ur post!

I think it's usually the newer members who start these discussions but soon learn they are doing it wrong.
