Happy International Women's Day

hello there to U...wow, now i know that it's International Women today...thanks for sharing that beautiful information...i would say that i am proud and blessed to be a woman...i think it's about time to give tribute and recognition to all the women in the world...i want to salute all those women who become good leaders of our society...those women who became a good citizens, and became successful in their careers...those women who plays good roles such as a daughter, niece, grandmother, wife, aunt, mother, etc...most women are not only good in doing household chores, but they are also good in other fields as well... I want to express my gratitude and appreciation to my mom, who's always been there for us no matter what...she's always there to care for us, giving us her precious love...thank GOD because in return, i became a good daughter to her...i really admire my mom...for me, she's the Best Mom ever in the whole world...thank GOD for having a good mom like her.. It's a good thing that there's an International Women's Day...all women really deserves that recognition or celebration...let's all celebrate being a woman... In my country, for decades, mother's day was on March the 8th. In the late years this day was (forcibly, in my opinion) turned into the Woman's day. I think women caused this change because they all need another day to make them feel special and appreciated, which is absolutely normal. On March the 6th there is no celebration in my country.

Sorry to correct, but International Woman's Day is always on March 8... I starts in 1908, 15,000 when women marched through New York City demanding shorter hours, better pay and voting rights. IWD is now an official holiday in Russia and at least 10 other countries. Man is buying flowers for coworkers, mothers, sisters and wifes. Even at school, boys are giving flowers for girls. Womans day was always very popular in socialist movement countries. That day was always bigger than mothers day. Tons of flowers and chocolates are given...

Oh really, I didn't know that today is international women's day. Thanks for the info. Greetings to you and the women myLotters here. Its nice to be a woman. I think women can do what men can, but there's one thing that a man can not do but a woman. It is being pregnant, bearing and delivering a child. That is one aspect of being a woman that I like best and am proud of - having bore and raised 2 sons. There can never be an Eintein, Kennedy and other famous men, without a woman - a mother who bore and nurture these men!

No I didn't know and back to you as well. We sure do wear many hats. More than I can even count. What I like best about being a woman, is being a mommy.Even the not so great parts. Because I get to look forward to things getting better. And the best sound to me is my daughters laughter.Of course, most days WIFE isn't bad either. But maybe thats more due to having a terrific hubby.

I had no idea there was such a day, 1st thing it made me think of , why they aren't marketing it, too the eigth degree, would fit in prefect between Valentines Day and Easter lol. Happy International Womens Day all you Mylot women, and Katherine, hope you had a great Womans day as well.
