i think the way my mother taught me was quite good. she used to write it on a board. now she asked me to just rub the pencil along them to learn how to write. after doing this several times, she told me to write it separately.

Hmm! this sound interesting this could be done infact i have a white board for her I will try doing this.Wish me luck 'cause my daughter is a little stubborn and wants to do everything her way without listening to what i say.

I think the best way to teach children are let them learn themselves. My brother has a son.He had learned most of the alphabets himself. The first time most of the letter written by him was not directed well.I mean some letters was just opposite.W and M ,5 and 2,that type of letters. He had learned all these from his book with a lot of pictures. Thanks

I think children need some guidance atleast from the parents.not too much of stressful guidance but juyst hints like see doesn't it resemble that etc..

When my son was little Imade alphabet cards and showed him the card and showed him how to write the letter and how to pronounce it too then we would make sentences but first just learning to trace the letters and writing them

Thats what most of the parents do but the problem with my daughter is that she does not want to follow she want to do it herself, therefor she does agree to trace and even does not listen to how to write, any other ideas.

You can teach by starting on how to rite lines then curves. When he masters already this, you can start showing how to write the alphabet by using lines and curves.
