Historically is George W. Bush the worst leader we've ever had?

I mean every president we ever had lied. Politicians lie to us every day. It is quite obvious that this president has no concern over the issues involving this nation and instead only is interested in oil profits. The Bush family stands to make billions of dollars based on the actions of this so called "War On Terror" in the Middle East. These actions are outright terroristic in there own right and Thousands of lives and families have been destroyed in order to lace the pockets of one rich family. And the president is even a good enough actor to hide this! I 've long viewed the presidency as a puppet position for the congress and entire government setup as a whole but the President has the control over the Military. Whenever we have a major disaster, or "terrorist" attack, who is it the moves in and takes over. So while reigning down fear on the American populace, the Military is allowed to swoop in and take over, an ending I believe will ultimately come true. I know I just went on a conspiracy theory rant but I feel this President has ushered in a new era of chaos and impending doom for us all... What do you think?

yes historically I would say he is probably the worst President we have ever had. However I do like the fact that he let us have some of our tax money back before he left. This was a very good thing, And I really liked it.

Proving to us he was capable of these types of acts all along and now that his term is over it is a further slap in the face to the American public as he cant get reelected. Perhaps an attempt to defame the newly incumbent?

Actually that was part of his tax plan from the day he took office. Did everyone forget the extra checks we got with our taxes his first year in office?

I honestly don't think you've studied enough of this countries history to make that judgment. He may be the worst president in your lifetime, in fact he probably was. If you look at our history you'll see we've had some pretty awful presidents along the way. Woodrow Wilson and Herbert Hoover had us mired in the Great Depression. FDR put innocent Asian Americans into concentration camps for no reason other than that we were fighting Japan. He didn't even care if they were Japanese, Chinese, Hawaiian, etc. You may disagree with his war on terror, but we haven't had a terrorist attack in 7 years now. Airport security is finally effective. It was a joke before 9-11. The sky marshalls he's put in place have already prevented a number of attacks. I'm not fond of the war in Iraq, but frankly, it's no different than most other wars we've been in. WWII: We attacked Germany even though they did nothing to provoke us. It was Japan that attacked Pearl Harbor North Korea never even looked at us funny but we attacked them because they were communists. Cuba - Bay of Pigs. Kennedy decided he didn't like Castro and launched a pathetic failed attack that led to the Cuban Missile Crisis and almost ended up with Nuclear War. Vietnam... is there anyone who thought we had a reason to be there? Bosnia - Clinton sent troops into Bosnia and they never said an unkind word about us. Most people don't even know we had troops there. As I said, I don't agree with the war in Iraq, I'm just trying to show you that historically our presidents have always invaded and attacked countries with little or no provocation.

Ok, I'm not even saying he is our worst president, historically. I only ask the questions that provoke thought. I appreciate your input too. And I am more than aware of the conspiracies our government has involved themselves in over generations of time, or even in recent years as you have described. Again this is why I ask the question. We haven't had a terrorist attack since I can remember though! I still cannot be convinced about the lie of 9/11 and will continue thinking this way until proven otherwise. It's not like President Bush is the problem here. There is a problem with our entire system of governing, worldwide. Just thought it was a good topic for discussion as I am glad you did too. So your answer then is no, so who, in your opinion was our worst?

Honestly, I think it's hard to say who the single worst president was. FDR is the only one I know of who put US citizens into concentration camps based solely on their ancestry. He also bullied the Supreme Court and ran a dictatorship. But then he got us out of the Great Depression and into WWII so he's often listed as a great president for those issues. Andrew Jackson may have been the worst for what he did to Native Americans, but then he was just following the example set by all the presidents who preceded him. We judge presidents largely by the way history remembers them. People hate Nixon because all they hear about is Watergate. People love Kennedy because there are movies that portray him as a hero and give him credit for legislation that he never passed (Civil Rights Act, and Voter's Rights Act). As such, worst president ever is not really something I can judge unequivocally. I would say in my lifetime, which is the last 29 years, George W. Bush has probably been the worst president based on what has happened to our economy and the strength of the US dollar under his presidency. I also think Iraq was a mistake and we shouldn't have gone there. He did greatly improve airport security, and make an example out of Afghanistan showing that the US will not tolerate terrorism as it did under Clinton. Still, I think any president with a backbone (by that I mean anyone but Bill Clinton), would have done the same.

that is a very loaded question no doubt, I am not american so I do not know who was the best or worse president per se, but I know this one is not liked by most people of the world because of his actions.
