Ok back in elementary school when you had health class when teachers were explaining certain facts they lied. They went over hygene. They went over reproduction, hormones, acne etc. They also went into a detailed explanation of each. I remember being told acne will end after puberty. I am over 30 with the worst breakout I have had since my teens.Periodically we all have little blemish here or there, but da-n! Who else has had a connect the dots moment?

Your teacher didn't lied to you. That's the basic stuff. Some of us just dun follow the basic. Most think that pimple is only for teenager. In fact, many adult do get acne especially women. Some have blemishes free skin and sudenly get it during adulthood. Whatever the cause,u have to treat it.It won't outgrown by itself as it can cause scarring. A lot of applications are available for acne treatment.Which one to choose. Most having success with benzoyl peroxide. It is the maistay of acne treatment. How about trying neutrogena on the spot? Start with once a day to see how your skin react to it. If you get more pimples,it might be due to you have a lot comedones(blackhead and whitehead).Keep on using for another week or two.You will note the decrease in the breakout. As time goes by,you can slowly increase the frequenc as well as the amount being use.The key here is you have to do it gradually.I know everyone want to be in a hurry but your acne won't let u. Oral antibiotics is very successful in treating acne coupled with topical treatment such as benzoyl peroxide.Do u know that nowadays the trends to get rid of this thing is by using a combination of treatment instead of just one formula? It has been proven the most effecive method in keeping acne at bay. That's why now manufacturer make prepackage treatment consists of a few products.Example is ZenMed Derma Cleanse. Sure they are expesive but if they work, why not?Sometimes we just have to pay for the price of beauty

My main problem has always been blackheads. I never got a whole lot of zits. I know the blackhead thing has never cleared up on me. I am 30 now and it is very annoying.

Everyone's body chemistry is different. For the majority of people their skin does clear up after puberty. Mine did for the most part. I get a couple of zits here and there but nowhere near what I had as a kid. My face also breaks out more when I am pregnant. Hormonal changes bring it on I am sure. I do know a few people who's skin got worse after they got older but not many.

I have had worse breakouts on my face in my 30's than I ever had in my teens. I think a lot of them have been stress induced... but the reasons don't really matter. What matters is that you're right...we were outright LIED to in health class!!

I get some bad acne from time to time, but I really think the teenage years are much worse. As an adult male, I more often get ingrown hairs where I shave than anything serious in terms of acne. Taking supplements of vitamin C and Zinc seems to help.
