If you could only choose 5 things to eat what would you pick?

Imagine you are being locked up and given a supply of food but you can only have 5 different food items, which would you choose and why? I think mine would be bananas, multigrain bread, tomatoes, cheese and plain dark chocolate. I think that is not too unhealthy and would satisfy my appetite.

i'll choose one vegetable,one fruit,cake,green tea,chocolate. as to which kind of vegetables and fruits,i need more time to think over. they should be my favorable food which is healthy at the same time can make me long interest in them.

Looks like a well balanced choice. I would call green tea a drink rather than a food item. Your time in captivity may allow drinks, or it could only permit water for drinking.

well then,i'll choose yellow-fin fish instead.i can braise it or broil it. it's my best favor,which i never be sick of.

I'd pick homemade veggie pizza, tropical fruit salad, veggie stir fry, rice, and dark chocolate...dark chocolate is very practical...it's got lots of antioxidants and would help me keep my sanity while locked up :)

I prefer the dark chocolate with a high cocoa content, and you can feel less guilty when eating it than milk or white chocolate.

You didn't say how long you have to eat the 5 foods. It would depend on if it was for a week,a month or a year. If it was for a week I would chose a good multi grain bread, some squash, apples, and chicken.

You would not be told how long you were to be locked up so you have to pick food which you know you can live on for a long time if necessary!

single items and not prepared dishes, right? I would choose potatoes chicken some form of citrus, probably grapefruit tomatoes cheese I think with these items I can get a fairly balanced diet - though some leafy greens would be nice as well a hardy bread and carrots... I suppose I could switch the potato out for sweet potato and satisfy that deficiency though.

Hmmm... -Lettuce -Fetta cheese -Capsicum -Pumpkin -Chicken I think... That would still make a pretty decent salad, although additional ingredients would be great, I think I could live off that =)

Apart from the chicken I could live off those, but I would need to eat plenty of it to satisfy my appetite.

I think I would pick strawberries, tomatoes,bananas,,celery and carrots. I would pick those so that I could lose weight. Some of yours would be ok too, but those are my favorite foods.

I think you will lose weight with only those foods. They are good for your health and tasty too.

Pizza, fruit (probably banana's or cantaloupe), does water count...b/c I'd have to have water, cheese and corn on the cob. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

This is a tough one. How to narrow it down to just five. There are so many good choices. Potatoes (good raw or cooked) Onions (best flavouring ever) Romaine lettuce Butter Cheese Darn, no room for sweets.
