I'm looking for something that hasn't been assaulted by the filter police. Any good ideas? I recently dropped Bearshare and Limewire due to filtering. Can't say more than that- the censors are watchign! ;)

BitTorrent would be your best bet. But the downside is that it is unlike other P2P apps where you can connect directly to the other peer. You have to find the torrent tracker of the file you want first, download it, and then open it with a BitTorrent client, like Azureus, BitComet, or FlashGet. There are a lot of torrent sites out on the net. My favorite has been the pirate bay (and demonoid, but they closed the site down).

I'm not sure if BitTorrent is classified as P2P, but I guess it is, because that's how it works. I mainly use BitTorrent to do P2P, mainly because we don't have to connect to the person who owns the file, and that's the main problem of Kazaa and other similar P2P's: after the host goes offline, file transfer halted. So yeah, try BitTorrent. Use client such as: utorrent.com, or bitcomet.com

It's simply... Torrent. Why? Good tracker and you can have full speed without limits. Only one thing what you gotta do is seed it after download file to reach ratio 1.0

I never used Limewire or Bearshare for p2p sharing. I just use Torrents sites like mininova.org or torrentbox.com or moviex.info (which is my favorite). And the software i used to download the torrents is UTORRENT. I think its the bestest ever software made.

Sorry for not being much help here, but I, too, have been trying to find something like this. Ever since I got this new computer with Winblows Vista, it won't let me connect with these p2p softwares. I tried to see if I could change various settings, but it didn't work. For a short while, I had joined a forum where we were sharing stuff like this, but it vanished soonafter i joined. i have yet to find another place like this, but usually, you need to be told by someone being that it is usually secretive. Well - first one who finds something ...
