I am a housewife and I am darn good one! However, there are some chores that I especially hate to do. Those being the following: Dishes Laundry Sweeping Mopping Why? Dishes - There are just too darn much of them Laundry - The same as the above Sweeping - Because I can sweep and in the next instance there is more dirt on the floor. What the heck is up with that anyway? Mopping - I can mop and I swear, a minute after it's dry there's dirt on the floor again pfff... Now, don't get me wrong, I'll do all these dispite my dislike of them and I do them well. However, that doesn't make me dislike them less. What about you all, are there any chores you hate doing? Please, share with the group ;-P

My husband bought a new tv about a year ago, and it came with a wonderful wonderful all glass unit(not) to go on. I hate it with a passion, the kids seem to have magnets to it, and it is such a nightmare to clean and keep clean. Everytime I clean it I swear it takes me over half an hour or more, and as soon as I have cleaned it the kids have to touch it, I get so mad then with them. Putting my washing away is the next one down, its so boring. The best part of cleaning is when I do upstairs as its the part of the house that seems to stay clean all the time, I love doing it I go upstairs stick a cd on and I am away!

Its brilliant cleaning to your favourite music, and I seem to clean so much faster, Im almost sorry when I have finished and have to turn it off!

Man, that sounds awful. I have had that problem with our TV stand in the living room. I can clean the glass and then an hour later or less, it has prints on it once again. I know how frustrating it can get. I used to clean with music and I stopped. I need to start that again. I bet cleaning would be more enjoyable if I did.

I am not sure which one I dislike the most. However, there are a few that I don't like to do and I might have to say that they are equal. The first thing is laundry. I don't like it as there is always so much of it. It doesn't seem as though it ever goes away no matter how much of it I do. The second thing is dishes. The thing with them is the time that I get them done is about the time that someone in the house decides that they have to eat or get a drink. I can't imagine how many glasses are used in a days time in this house. I can't convince them that one glass a day is plenty and all they have to do is rinse out the glass and use it for something else. The final thing is the bathroom! It is always nasty and I hate the fact that it seems as though my husband cant always hit the toilet.

My least favorite has got to be scrubbing the bath tub. It would not be so bad if i committed to doing it once a week, but i usually put it off until i get to the point i am grossed out by it, lol...the cleaners always give me a headache, even if i turn on the fan & open the window... laundry doesn't bother me, dishes do sometimes...but man i have to hate the bath tub the most. if anyone knows how to scrub a bath tub easily, let me know!

I'm with you on the bathtub thing. I don't even mind cleaning the rest of the stuff in the bathroom but I hate cleaning the bath tub...

My worst chore, the one i really really dislike is doing the dishes as you are never done and my son would rather swim with piranahs than wash a dish heaven for bid. My second dislike is mopping the kitchen floor because in spite of everything ten minutes later it looks dirty again. My third worst chore is taking out the garbage over and over as my son again does not even see it is therelol

I think that's what makes it worse, when you wash teh dishes, sweep or mop the floor and then a few minutes later it's a mess again.

I would definately have to say mopping. Its something that you can do and just gets dirty again after. I need new tiles, once I get them I wont mind as much. But right now it just aggravates me to mop. And I hate doing the dishes. Its just so time consuming and builds up all day long. Its like never ending. Along with laundry however I dont mind doing laundry. I hate having to hang it up in the summer time, I would much rather use the dryer but my daughters father wont let me, he says it uses to much electric.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the tiles. I rent and in our apartment we have white linolium in the kitchen. I swear, you can see everything on that floor. Even if you clean it a hundred times a day and it's so frustrating! As for the dryer, I would tell him that if he won't let me use it then he can just hang the clothes LOL. I understand that it cost a lot in electric but why have one if he's not going to let you use it. The whole point is to make your life a little easier...

I hate any type of housework in general but when it boils down to it, dusting and sweeping/mopping win hands down. Dusting makes me have sneezing fits and with my floor, I have to sweep/swiffer/mop twice in that order to really get it clean. Specially in the winter with all the mud outside and having a dog. Now that my daughter is old enough to take on a few chores, I assign her the sweeping/swiffering while I do the mopping. Even then, it kills my back.

Hi Sassy. Of all the household chores, there are two things that are at the bottom of my list. Dusting and Ironing. Whenever I clean the house, I seem to always set aside those two tasks until I can't ignore them anymore. With dusting, I have only just begun doing the chore, and I start sneezing right away! And it just doesn't stop with a couple of sneezing. I end up sneezing the whole time I do the task. I always use a wet cloth so as not to "disturb" the dust but still they come and get me! Now after doing the ironing, I end up with a lower back ache and a slight sore arm and not to mention, cramps in my legs for standing for so long.

Yeah and the worst part about dusting is that you can dust and a few hours later, the dust is back again. I hate that! Dusting makes me sneeze too and that can be frustrating but I didn't think of using a wet rag, I will have to try that.

Well, I don't have kids yet but I have lived with my sister and her family when I was single. I had to change diapers to help out and I personally don't think it was that bad. I would take it over the other chores I meantioned any day lol...

I really hate anything to do with laundry! The soap can dry the hands, and since we don't have a dryer, we have to hang it outside the house. Hanging the clothes is so tiring, as well as gathering them and folding them. Ugh!

Laundry is my biggest dislike. It just seems like no matter how often I do it it's never done and it takes so long to do...wash, dry, fold, put away. And it's made worse by the fact that I share the washer and dryer with other people so I almost always have to finish a load or two of theirs before I can get to my own, and by then my good detergent is half gone so the whole laundry thing just irks me. My second dislike would becleaning out the refrigerator. Not so much the task itself and I have no problem with wiping the refrigerator down when it's done, I just dislike the pile of dishes and containers that is the result. I don't mind doing dishes a few at a time which is how I do them but the big piles and over flowing sink is where I tend to draw the line. And this is why I store my leftovers in ziploc bags and refuse to use MIL's refrigerator.

Oh, ziplock bags. That is such a great idea. I'm going to try that. I hate it too, when I have to clean out the fridge and there are all these left overs in containers. It's a real pain! You're fortunate in regards to the laundry however. I don't have an indoor washer and dryer and so I have to go out to a laundry mat to do my laundry. So, I have to share it with the world LOL...

I don't mind cleaning, I actually find it therapeutic!!. I think the only thing I really hate is changing bed sheets, I am only 4ft 11 and a half and I have to crawl into the duvet cover to make the bed soooooo not good! I am very particular about laundry IE whites colours and darks so that does not bother me as it is how I like it done, I cringe when I see some friends doing their laundry and they just throw anything into the machine. I prefer washing dishes to drying and putting away. I don't iron until I need the clothes......I used to but my then 3 year old went through the drawers throwing all the neatly ironed and folded clothes aaarrrrraaaggghhhhh!!!!!!!!!! I have to hoover up to 3 times a day because I have 2 white haired dogs and a chocolate brown carpet.

If my apartment is a mess I can't sit until it's tidy. It just bothers me. So, I guess in a way it's sorta therapeutic for me as well... I can see why making the bed would be a hassle for you LOL...I'm 5ft 2 and so I am not much taller than you, it's hard to be short, ain't it? LOL...

I HATE, HATE, HATE doing the floors: mopping, vacumming, sweeping (in the order of how much I hate them!) I don't mind dishes, laundry, cleaning the kitchen, etc., but the floors really get to me! Luckily, my loving husband knows how much I hate doing them, and will do them for me!

LOL I hear ya! I wish my husband would do the floors. However, he does do the dishes for me sometimes. So, I really shouldn't complain I gues LOL...

OH - I forgot to add that I HATE ironing! I actually don't do that either. I purposefully buy clothes that won't have to be ironed (like jersey knits and whatnot.) Because I hate ironing so much (did I mention I'm REALLY bad at it too?!) I'm always really diligent about getting the laundry out of the dryer as soon as it's finished drying. You can avoid having to iron most things by doing this. If something REALLY needs ironing, I'll get the steamer out first since it's so much faster and easier. Then if something just HAS to have creases in it (like slacks,) I'll begrudgingly iron.....
