I love making cakes whether baking or steaming them. I like the smell of the cake when I am baking them. But recently I found another way to make a cake which is steaming them. I think steamed cake is more rich in flavor of the butter and I can keep it longer than the baked on up to a month fresh in the fridge. Sometimes I will buy a cake,..but only a slice or two. It is because the cost of the ready made cakes are expensive compare to make them at home. Some more, I think, my cakes also not bad in taste and I can have variety of tastes in one time.

the steamed cake made by steaming the cake batter. The ingredients normally are different compare to the baked cake. What I always do when making the steamed cake, I prepare a large steamer on the kitchen stove and let the water to boil and i put my baking pan filled with the cake batter in and cover with the aluminum foil on top of the baking pan to avoid the vapor from dropping into the cake batter. I will then cover the lead of the steamer and let it for about 1 hours and 30 mins for the simple cake. But I have steamed a cake for about 8 hours for one recipe which i got from internet. The reason to steam more longer is to make the cake fully cook and i think the longer you steam, the longer the cake will be fresh.

I do not like to eat cake very often but I like to bake them. I like baking and cooking in general. I very rarely will buy a cake, but if I need one for something and I do not have time to make one I will.

I love to make cakes for special occasions. The best part is decorating them. I took a cake decorating class recently and had a lot of fun. I learned how to do shell borders, stars, flowers, leaves, figures, faces, pearls/dots, writing...I can't wait until my son's birthday :)

Depends on the occasion. If its for my kids birthday, we usually buy, its easier for the parties. Sometimes I like to cook a cake with my daughter, she loves to cook, and its a good time for us to spend together.

I love baking just about anything, including cakes. I rarely buy them anymore, because it's easier and tons cheaper to just make them at home. That, and the ones I bake always seem to end up moister than the ones you buy at the store. I think it's because they haven't been sitting around for days. I do buy my cake mixes, though. I have no idea how to bake a cake from scratch.

I like cake, but just confining to a little piece of cake. As for me, I will feel dizzy if taking much. Occasionally, I will cook it by myself. I learned the operation method on the web as follows: separate whit and yolk of 2-3 eggs and stir them into foam respectively. Add flour and soda ash and restir. Putting them into the electric cooker which has been added with plenty of oil at the bottom. Plug in to heat. After heating for 5 minutes, the electric cooker automatically stop. Then, after cooling down, the cake is completed.LOL.You must be intoxicated by these course and enjoy it.
