For the past thirty years, I have been reading some special Women's magazine in my regional language and I normally love reading these. I like reading the details of innovative new recipes and I used try them diligently when I was young. Nowadays, I do not try them out because I would be able to sense what would come out well and what won't. But still the charm of reading these has never waned one bit. Please share your experiences.

I like to read some of them. I'm not a fancy cook so if they're complicated or use ingredients I wouldn't have on hand or use again, I usually flip right past that. If they're about simple, down home cooking I'll definitely spend more time looking at them, and maybe trying a few here and there.

wHAT YOU SAY IS TRUE. If the recipes are complicated[ ingredients not available easily too] then I also do not give much thought to theses. Thanks for the responses.

I used to like reading the recipe section of the magazines more than I do now. Maybe it was before I was on the Internet so much. I still look at the recipes in every magazine I read, but don't tear out so many pages to try the recipes like I did. I find it easier to look up recipes and recipe ideas online. I also watch the food network and get my ideas from there. Sign of the times?

There wasa time when I had a note book and I diligently wrote down the recipes in beautiful handwriting,.[30 yrs ago] . One day, when I was not at home this was thrown to the junkman. [ others would not realize this value ] I still remember how much of love and effort had gone into this labour and I used to feel terrible about it initially. Nowadays, I still write them when I see demonstrations on TV. But I need to organize myself better and get a note book. Right now they are just in scraps of paper. Thank you for the response.
