Of course there are always dangers when giving out credit card info over the Internet. If the website says it's a secure connection, that is usually a good sign, however, that is not a guarantee. My best advice to you would be to review your credit card statement every month and make sure all purchases and transactions are accounted for. Save your receipts so you can compare what" on the statement. Second, get a free credit report to see what companies have access to your info. Ask your credit card company against fraud protection. They will charge you, but it will protect you in the long run. Plus I buy a lot of stuff over the Internet and I have had charges on my account that had to be investigated. Nothing crazy, but still, because I kept up with what I was doing, I didn't get screwed.

Hi, I am verified paypal user. It is very secure to give your information to paypal. They do refund the $1.95 after you input the Expanded Use number from your monthly bill. They are very vigilant. You see, I had the mistake of logging into my account from a different computer, meaning it has a different IP addresss, so they froze my account, well not really froze, they gave me a limited account. So make sure you only use one computer when logging into your paypal account. Anyway, my issue was resolved because I proved to them that I am really the account holder. But go ahead, verify your account, you have nothing to worry about.

HI everyone, This is a very useful discussion and a very healthy one for mylot too I know how to avoid problems .. paypal does not do any harm itself .. if any harm is done it is done by hackers and do u know what is the best way to avoid harm? ITS BY DELETING COOKIES AND BY CLEARING ALL THE PRIVATE DATA after and before the transaction and after the transaction its always the cookies that cause you the trouble ... follow what i say and you will be safe 90% of the time.

I hate paypal but i do not have any chances with that. I gave them my credit card and they never accepted it and told me to get verified by another card. It is safe regarding security but do not let your mail id run around globe. They are very secured and please read their guidelines regarding automatic transfers for charges. They do transfer to bank accounts automatically but request is manual.
