gay population

what do you thinks is the reason why the there is an ever increasing population og gay people and lesbian people. I dont mean to offend anyone, just out of curiosity.

There always was a large population of homosexual people. They were just too afraid to come out and be proud of it for fear of being teased, taunted, rejected by family and society, beaten, killed etc.

do you mean you actually believe gay is some sort of fad like Idol? I can see it now next season on Fox American Queer hosted by RuPaul with your celebrity panel Rosie O'Donnell, John Waters, and Larry Craig.
