Making money online with Chacha

Does anyone have any experience with Chacha? My understanding is that you help people with live help for online searches. I guess it pays around $5/search hr to start and can earn as much as $10/ search hour if you are specialized in an area. It seems like a pretty cool thing do to for people who spend a lot of time online. It'd be great for my bed-ridden friend but I don't know anything about it. Has anyone heard of it? Any experiences with it?

I love the name and have often been accused of bottom feeding myself, lol. Oh, I should point out that the clever name refers to a special kind of catfish. I love their image but haven't tried it yet, although people keep telling me I should as I do searches all day long anyway and am pretty good at it. If you friend is a brainiac what does s/he have to lose? I would suggest that anyone who tries it have good firewall, spyware, and script detecting software, though, as their site certificate seems a bit off and there are a number of scripts apparently running on the page--no more than here, though. Apparently they pay 20 cents per completed search. I have been really tempted to try it myself just to see how it works, except for two things: 1) I fear it could become really addictive, and 2) It appears that the minimum payout is $100, but I could be wrong about that, and the description seems ambiguous as to whether that is for all payment methods or just for those asking for a check instead of PayPal. Maybe someone here will clear up my latter point. (I hope!)

Mainly number 1 above, that it would just be too much fun and that I would be doing it all the time! Maybe there are not that many "openings" but if there were my concern is I wouldn't want to stop. It just sounds like too much fun. Do let me know if you do decide to try it. Truly I haven't ruled the idea completely out. What do you think?

ChaCha has a payout of $100 if you chose to do the direct deposit payment plan. If you choose the debit card, they don't have a payout but they do charge you $2 to transfer the money to your card. I've only been doing this for 3.5 days and I've made $100 so far! Good luck, give it a try.

Thanks drannhh. I have been considering it for myself as well. What do you use as a script detection program? I work 100% of the time using a Windows profile that does not have admin priviledges so I am usually pretty safe. What is your reluctance in getting started with Chacha?

ChaCha is okay. They pay .30/search right now. You could possibly make $5 an hour, but it would be tough. There can be a huge lull in between searches and most searches take at least 3 minutes.
