O M G !! A 75-pound stingray killed a Michigan woman Thursday when it flew out of the water and struck her face as she rode a boat in the Florida Keys, officials said.Judy Kay Zagorski, of Pigeon, Mich., was sitting in the front seat of a boat going 25 mph when the spotted eagle ray, with a wingspan of 5 to 6 feet, leaped out of the water, said Jorge Pino, spokesman for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

That poor lady! I can't even imagine! I heard about this yesterday as well. I grew up learning that sting rays were pretty docile creatures. Now we are starting to hear of more deaths related to them. I think I will stick to the swimming pool from now on!

Wasn't the Croc Hunter guy also killed by a fluke stingray accident?

isn't that awful? my husband told me that he heard it on the radio as he was driving to town. Unimaginable. Looks like the sea is telling us to stay out.

Wow, just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water. Now you can't even be on the water. That's pretty scary. I mean, you would never expect to go out for boat ride and something like that happen.

That poor woman. It must of been horrible for the other people on the boat to see that too! Isn't a stingray what killed The Crocodile Hunter too? That is sad it makes you sacred to go out in the water on a boat even.

I just saw this story on the news earlier today. What are the odds that something like that would happen?? I mean its just an absurd sequence of events that leads to a huge stingray jumping out of the water and killing someone. It most certainly is unbelieveable.
