What's with the "add tags to this discussion" thing?

It would usually appear as we posted a new discussion or answered one for the first time. It was a pain but it made sense and it never really bothered me.
I always filled it in with appropriate tags because I knew that those tags would be used for ads and for context.
But now each time I post be it my new discussion, or all my answers to it, it keeps going back to the add tags to this discussion page.
I hope it is a glitch, because it doesn't really make sense for the same person to add tags to the same discussion over and over again, it would be just repeating the same thing since the person - I at least do- already added all the tags that can thing of.
This is just time consuming and has no special benefit since once we added the tags once it's unlikely that we're going to thin about anything else to add that is new and different from what we added already.
Is this happening to everyone or is it just me?

Its supposed to be there so people can add tags that come to mind. But its not effective since anyone can add anything to tags. Plus the internal search engine is powered on yahoo (ugh...) and overall searches aren't that effective anyways.
There should be an overhaul to both of these.

When you submit 3 tags or more, then the bar for tag submission and the submission page are no longer visible.
But if you keep seeing it, then it may be a glitch.

I can't figure this out myself - it's not all of the time though, seems to be just with certain member's discussions for me - one of them I can respond 10 times and it still asks me to tag it but then others it just asks the one time.

It happens to me on certain Discussions Twin and it is very annoying
When you start a new Discussion make sure you post 5 Tags with it or it will keep doing that to you but I do not know how it will stop with Friends Discussions

I wonder if that's what happened. That I didn't add enough tags when I first posted. It's only happening on some posts, not all, so maybe that's what happened. But the thing is I already added more and it's still happening at least in one particular discussion.
Oh well, it might be a glitch.

At the bottom of every discussion you'll see a list of related discussions, this works from the tags you use. If the discussion already has a lot of tags I don't bother adding anymore, but they are worth using if you are starting a discussion and want lots of responses.

OH yes, I understand the importance of tags and I always add them the first time I post a discussion or respond to one, but there is no point to keep adding the same thing over and over again.
It's not happening in all discussions so I"m not sure what it is.
