Easter is a big celebration for millions of Christians all over the world. We prepare food and do we know what are the symbols of these foods. What are the food you prepare for Easter in your country? Easter roast lamb is commonly prepared and is a significant symbol Christ which has it roots in the celebration of Jewish holiday the Passover and was adapted to the modern times by Christians. The Easter bread is symbolic of the resurrection of Christ as flour comes to life and transforms itself to bread. The egg also means rebirth during the ancient times.

My daughter is preparing a ham and that's a tradition. With all the fixings including mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, two salads and rolls with pie for dessert. Yesterday she made a wonderful breakfast that included these filled muffins .....she took a biscuit and filled it with apples and raisins and they were wonderful!

My mom used to make lamb on holy Thursday. For Easter we'd have ham, sometimes ravioli, and lots of vegetables. She would also make large braided sweet Easter bread with an egg in the center.

That's great. Hmm...Some people are really festive on this day and prepare food in table for the family to share.
