I know you have that one dish that everyone requests you make. You are asked to bring it family functions, parties, work, etc. For me it has to be BBQ beef or pork for work or parties. At home they love my green bean cassarole. So please share, what are your specialties?

My banana bread and cinnamon cookies for desserts. Potato salad usually in the summer.. At home, everyone seems to love my mashed potaotes... Tater tot casserole is always a good one too. I have a few people generally like my cooking and I like to do it so everyone wins.

INGREDIENTS 1 (32 ounce) package frozen potato rounds 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup 1 (6 ounce) can French-fried onions DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange tater tots in the prepared baking dish. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, cheese, and mushroom soup. Pour this mixture over the tater tots. Sprinkle onions over the top of the casserole. Bake in the 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven for 45 to 60 minutes. Here is the recipe I use. I also tweak this in so many ways. I always add a bit of garlic powder, salt and pepper to the sour cream/soup mixture. You can use any kind of cream soup. I usually use cream of chicken though any cream soup makes it yummy. I love those French Fried Onions so I mix extra onions in with the soup as well. I always top with extra cheese even though it is mixed in. You can put in browned ground beef as a fun meal. I have put in sauteed onions and green peppers. There are so many things that you can do with this and it's super easy- yummy every time! :)

I have won awards for my Chili. Alot of folks also love the way I do my steakes, they always seem to turn out so tender and juicy.

Goulash is great!! I can cook a good steak too but I dont love to cook on the grill. Chili is one of my favorite meals in the winter time. Come mid summer I am actually missing it and wanting to make some!

Potato casserole is my specialty, and its so simple to make!! Cube the potatoes, and then boil them until soft. Then you put them ina dish with cream and 4 tablespoons of plain flour. Fry up some diced bacon until just crispy. Then you put the bacon on top of the potatoes, and stick it in the oven for about 30minutes, or until the cream bubbles. Delicious!! I'm currently working on perfecting it for cooking in the microwave. Otherwise, when I have people over here to eat, my specialties are roast pork, or beef stroganoff.

Mine is an old favorite of everyone's. Simple dish, but everyone raves over the way I cook Fried Chicken. There's only one way to fry chicken right? Well, apparently not..... I cook my chicken (for the most part) just like everybody else does. There are a few things I do differently and my methods are a bit different, but none-the-less, everyone raves about my fried chicken. It's usually the converstion starter to many of the converstions I have with people I see on the street who know me. "I'll mow your yard for a good plate of your fried chicken" or "I'll pay you double for a plate of your fried chicken". It's been put up against a lot of other fried chicken dinners and wins hands down every time. I also bake homemade bread, make homemade butter and bake a lot of pies and cakes...Love to cook well.

I pride myself on being excellent in the kitchen and have several dishes that are often requested at functions. The top two would have to my low-fat NY style cheesecake (you would never know it was low-fat) and my chili. For holiday dinners, I am always asked to bring mashed potatoes because they love my mashed potatoes. The irony is that we do not eat mashed potatoes in my house and when we do, we use instant (we prefer them and I prefer to put my time and effort into the main dish and other side dishes). Since my extended family would not tolerate instant potatoes, I make from-scratch mashed potatoes 3 times a year, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, and everyone raves about them.

The top thing everyone requests me to bring to any family function is my homemade chicken and noodles. I made it all from scratch. My mom taught me the recipe when we were growing up and now that I can cook she prefers me to do it instead. The other most popular item I make and take to family functions is my homemade deviled eggs. I got that recipe from my mom as well. We usually make those for Easter and Christmas. I don't make those all year round because I hate peeling the eggs.

I dont like peeling the eggs either. I do have a good deviled egg recipe though. Is your chicken and noodles dish a cassarole? I just made a chicken and cheese noodle cassarole for the first time a few months ago.

While I've not settled on a "best" dish... for the purposes and specifics of your discussion Leppard, I'll have to say potato pancakes. I've fixed that for family multiple times and they can't get enough. Other possible dishes (chili, spaghetti & meatsauce, miso, and others, but there've been disagreements when it comes to them).

I live in the southern part of India, and we are vegetarians. The dish that most of my relatives and my friends want me to make whenever they come home or when we go for a potluch party is a dish called Bisibelabath. It is a spicy mixed rice dish.
