stopped any of your magazine subscriptions due to the economy? I use to get People magazine but have stopped it and now am checking it out of the library. I never got to read it before the new one came out, so why should I worry about being a week or two late in reading it. I also have started checking out Reader's Digest. I use to get this one a long time ago, but stopped once the girls came into my life. Didn't have time to read when they were toddlers. I am only getting Rachael Ray because I found a deal for $5.00 for a year, should have gotten it longer but wasn't thinking. LOL And Quick and Simple, because my library doesn't get them yet. Once I am done with them, I take them into work to share with other people.

I wish we had a library close by. There are so many great things to get there. I love to read. We spend a small fortune on books every year but to me it is worth it. Our kids see us reading and they learn that it is a good thing to spend time on. We have cut back on a lot of things but we keep our magazines that we can get a good deal on. My Hubby loves his golf mags and it costs us more when he buys the one he wants at the store then to get it every month. I wish I could have found the Rachel Ray deal. Good job on that one.

Have you ever heard of Paperbackswap? If not, send me a message and I will send you a link. It's a great site where you can posts book that you no longer want and then you send them out to people and once they get it you get credit for it to get another book. It's a great site. I just used it again last week to start a friend on a new series of books.

I get my magazine subscriptions free through a few survey sites I belong to. It takes a while to accumulate the points and funds and now I get Prevention and Redbook. I pay for the Oprah magazine and my neighbors lets me read her Better Homes and Gardens magazine too. I use to get People but cancelled that too.

When I use to get People, I gave it to a friend when I was done. We were suppose to trade People for Reader's Digest but she was always forgetting. LOL

The only subscriptions I have are the free one's and after that ends, I don't get it anymore. Where's the deal for Rachael Ray? Also where do you get the quick and simple from?

Rachel Ray I ordered back around Christmas time a year for $5.00. Quick and simple, I ordered all their website. There was no deal, but I love the magazine and I do pass this one around at school.

I am not big on reading magazines. I do have a few that I like to get because they have coupons and pay for themselve. If you like to save money check into All You Magazine this is usually found at most Walmart stores. This magazine has coupons as well as all the other dribble. It runs about $1.77 an issure but could really be worth it. I also got in on a good deal through internet connections. One of the lady's that I chat with has a daughter who had a fundraiser for school. I got two years of the magazine for $12.00. I also got two years for my mother as well. I sent the woman a check and she processed my order. I also like sites like adperks.com which offers free magazines. This site is giving me a years subscription to home and gardens, field and stream. They have listed several other magazines that they will be offering in the future. I am very interested in a few of them. So you see I believe why pay for something you can get free. I am a member of Buzz Agent and they have what they call campaigns. These campaigns offer great products to try and give feedback on. I recieved a years subscription to TV guide through here. The library is only one way to get your magazine fix. Check out other sites online for free magazines. My daughter belongs to teen freeway or teen highway I can not keep them straight. She filled out a survey and got a year subscription to seventeen magazine.

I use to get All You but stopped. I like Quick and Simple now. I do belong to Buzz Agent and did get the same TV guide subscription. I love this site. I went to the library today and they didn't have any of the most recent People magazines. I'm going through withdrawal. LOL

There were a few that I got fairly cheap that I haven't renewed, and I realize that I haven't been getting Reader's Digest, so I must have forgotten to renew that one. I really like my RD, so I may have to look for a good deal. I don't think I could read magazines from the library. I would probably forget and throw them away or cut out articles or something and end up paying for them. I did stop my netflix subscription for now, though. It's a great deal, but I find we're not watching as many movies now, and my husband has a huge collection that we can go through, so I couldn't justify that little extra a month. We're on a fixed income, so every little bit helps.

I never thought about accidently throwing them away! Ugh I love RD! I get some great ideas for discussions from them. I saw a good deal for it but didn't get it and I could kick myself. I never got into netflix because I personally don't watch a lot of movies. It is usually what the girls want to watch. But Redbox is really convenient (at my local grocery store) which I go by every day, and for a $1.00 a night you can't beat it.

I only subscribe to magazine when I get a great deal on it. Since they usually don't renew at the same deal I let them run out. With all the content you can find online magazines are not really needed.

I use to get Taste of Home and Quick Cooking but I let them runout because you can go online to get the recipes now. I am even going to stop my newspaper delivery except for Sunday because I can out online to read it, also.

I have never ended a subscription to a magazine because of the ecconomy. I have, howeer, stopped a subscription because I won't be in the country for a ew months. If I am not going to be at tome to read something, why should I pay for it?

How is the economy in Canada? Are prices going up for everything like here in the United States?
