Is anybody following Gundam 00?

Having seen many Gundam series, finally released the much anticipated new Gundam 00. Very different from the previous Seed or Seed Destiny, this time Gundam or rather Celestial Being is the faction here. I cannot help but to wonder why aren't there continual linked to the before, Earth Federation where you have ace pilots like Amuro Ray, Camilia or Juddo. It appears that after series of wars, Gundam seems to be extinct. What are your views on the development of Gundam stories? Well, the latest GN particles technology seems cool.

I like most of the other Gundam stuff I've seen, yes I even include Seed and Seed destiny amongst the ones I liked, mostly just for bringing back the Zaku. I really don't like what's been done int he new series character design wise. I do have a few other complaints but for the most part everything falls back to the character designs. I was fine with the bishounen style they threw into Gundam Wing but Gundam 00 is freaking ridiculous.

Well, yes, for Wing series lover, they may not like the Gundam 00 idea. The technology of Gundam is different somewhat. What is common is that Wing and 00 both is at the time line when Gundam is extinct. Bringing back Gundam technology makes them more superior in terms of their military might. Unless the previous series where Gundam is the signature weapon for Earth Federation. One particular new thing that was brought up by 00 series is the GN particles technology used to powered the Gundam which is different from the usual nuclear powered mobile suits in previous series. All in all, I still like Gundam 00, it is quite exciting. It also brings out the controversial war and terrorism which I think is quite relevant to what we have now in terms of political stances. Yes, my friend, I am also hoping very much to have some series that had flash back to the previous time line where all the ace pilots were back then and revisit some of the newtype capability of these pilots. Cheers.
