Maybe it is just me

But every time I see a replay of the clip of VP Cheney talking about the Iraq war my blood boils. I think he even shocked the reporter when he was asked about the fact most Americans dont support the war by answering "So..." Add to that the response of "they volunteered" when talking about the troops. I think maybe we need to send Mr Cheney to Oz so that he can get a Heart. Is it just me or do you feel angry about this?

Yeah that made me pretty mad as well. For, one neither him nor Bush have a clue what is really going on with the country. Just the other day Bush was asked what he thought about the gas prices being up around $4.00 in some places. He responded by saying something like "Are they, I didn't realize they were that high." I imagine Cheney is just as ignorant. The fact that he doesn't really care what the American people think, definately tells me he does not need to be in a leadership position in our country. After all, we put him into office with the understanding that they (Bush and Cheney), would reflect the will of the people. This war has been a fluke from the beginning. It is obvious that we went in under false pretenses. In my opinion Bush lied to the country about the weapons of mass destruction. As for the troops "volunteering" that is true. They volunteered to fight for their country, but they did not voulunteer to fight a war that is a complete and total mess. They volunteered to fight a war, not a series of gorilla terrorist attacks. In my opinion this is not a war, it's a mess. I cannot wait until these idiots in the White House leave and are replaced by a competent leader.

Well said. You bring up good points. I cant believe that these guys are so ignorant of what is going on in this country. Right now I think you are right, they don't care. They will be out of office in January and it will be someone else's proble. Thanks!

this is the reason why most politicians refuse to make a reference to George W Bush. Because doing so links back to the Iraq war which will then creates a bad impression and a possibility to lose a hell lot of votes Iraq war is so pointless

I didn't vote for him or his boss. I didn't think much of Cheney when he was secretary of defense and I think less of him now.

Cold-blooded pirates/plunderers operating by the machiavellian principle, which in essense claims that "the end justifies the means".

He's always struck me as being cold as ice. He has the most arogant sneer I've of anybody in public life. Most public figures hide that side but with him, I guess it's just too pronounced to hide.

So true, he does come across as arogant. Well I just hope that for him that old adage "what goes around, comes around" will hit him. Thanks for your response.

No, it sure isn't just you; I started a discussion about this too because it infuriated me so! In gis later interview he implied that all the deaths are harder on President Bush than on anyone else; do you even believe he'd say that? All I can say is all the heart attacks he's had and the surgeries and procedures must have really rendered his heart totally useless, if it ever was "functional" to begin with. Even a former Republican Senator, Lincoln Chafee, said he's the most arrogant person he's ever met. Annie

"Wow...nice thing to say about someone! Wouldn't your mama be proud...." If this was directed at me, thank you very much, and actually my mama IS very proud. She's 91 and the things she says about the D1ck Cheney I can't repeat here. Annie
