We grill them and is them instead of hamburger buns. I also like to use them for grilled cheese. You can put cheese on top and bacon and they make a very yummy snack. My kids love it this way too.

It's really thick slices of bread I would have to say one slice is like equal to two slices of regular bread.

Texas toast - I like the cheese flavored one best
I've never thought of using texas toast to make a personal pizza but that's a great idea! Or even french toast.... you have a creative mind something I only WISH I had. I can make something once I visualize it but I have to see how it was done in order to do it myself but to come up with the ideas is something I don't have and it sucks. lol I buy the off name brand of the cheese toast for speggetti and it's so good!! You've made me hungry!

I get the fresh texas toast that you get from the bakery stores like nickels and so that it doesn't have the garlic, someone suggested to make crutons with it and I'm going to try that. I bet you have a creative mind but just don't realize it.

Trust me, my creativeness ends in a box. lol I had called my hubby back here to see this discussion and he was surprised too and said we'll have to try that and that one too... Both of my grandparents had the creative minds and hands, I got just the damned hands... the kept the minds.

it is so good for garlic bread :) It is also good for camp pies if you are a camper. this site shows a picture of campfire pie makers: http://www.firepies.com/irons.html You butter the bread and fill it with whatever you want and cook it over the fire: i like to make pizzas - pizza sauce & cheese you can also make fruit ones - any cherry/blueberry/apple pie filling... MMMMM...man i want to go camping so bad now!!!

I don't normally buy Texas Toast. I have only ever had it made into garlic bread. The toaster oven pizza thing sounds pretty good though. I might have to try that sometime.

Thank you it does make excellent pizzas and is fast to do so it's a quick lunch when I don't have time for anything else. I usually do it over the summer when the kids are home and we're all having fun and doing a bunch of summer things.

I'd go with the toaster oven Pizza. It is versatile. You can make individual ones! So everyone gets what they want. Be awesome as crutons. If you let the breabread get a bit stale. Then season and bake.
