I think olive oil is a good thing to add to your diet for prevention and help from certain ailments however it doesn't cure cancer and it hasnt been proven. I think if that were true, then they would be using it in hospitals and research centers and healing cancer patients. I do believe certain additives to the diet can prevent the onset of such diseases however as for a complete cure, it'll be a long time before that ever happens.

researchers are working day and night to discover solutions to some ailments and sickness. because olive oil is common people will not take it seriously but if it is expensive oitment, people will start rushing to purchase it. do you have any cancer victim? just give it a try, also always add it to your meal, it is an oxidant, it doesn't harm.

It's good to hear that certain foods can add to your health. However, your last sentence 'eat olive oil and be cancer free' can't be complety true. There must be more issues around the development of cancer than an olive oil free diet. It would be great if this is a break through in developing a better cure for cancer. There has been much research of the connection between an unhealthy and not varied diët and cancer, I believe they did found somewhat of a connection but it wasn't the only cause. I guess there also might be a genetic issue or perhaps even inhereting.

That is really a very good piece of information, In our country however it is not very popular, but now at least I will give it a try as the incidence of cancer, heart proplems are increasing in our country. The only fear is that we are used to cooking in mustard and other soybean oils so if the taste we would like to enjoy or not, but anyway one must become used to things which are good for health.

That is nice to know and we use olive oil all the time. It is worth the cost and the only time I use regular salad oil is for deep frying that I seldom do. It is too bad that olive was not common when I was younger. We did not use olive oil in cooking since we did not come from the Mediterranean area and it was thought something only people from Italy, Spain or Southern France used. It is amazing how many diseases us Northerners got because something was only supposed to be for a certain group of people. Anyway I must have some ancient Roman blood in me somewhere because I really love olive oil.
