What would you do with it? Ok lets say it's a week before pay day and you have only 1.00 left to your name.. You have everything you need to last until you get paid again... What would you do with that dollar? Give it to someone to give them a smile? Put it away and use it for something else? Buy a stamp with it or maybe a two? Really what would you do with it? I think there might be some interesting things people would do with it... What's yours? I forgot to say mine... I would if I were at at a store and I had one dollar left to my name I would stick it in one of those charity things they have.. That way I know it would be going to good use...

I think I would either save it and put it in a far or I may use it to buy a lottery ticket. I would more than likely save it though because I never win anything with the lottery. The lottery is a waste of time for me but my husband buys us a ticket every now and them. I would save my dollars though because they will add up eventually.

lottery ticket You never know you might win bigger on it.. I do buy them as well and very seldom I win big on them.. They are fun to buy that's for sure... These days you can't even buy a gallon of gas for 1.00 I mean what would you really do with it when really thinking about it.. You wouldn't have enough for a dozen of eggs, a 1/2 gallon of milk.. You'd only have enough for a candy bar.. Sad huh! Thanks for your reply!

Giving that one dollar to the charity looks like the obvious and beautiful choice.

I would have to agree, Mainly when you know it's going to go to someone that really needs it more than for say myself.. to see a child smile is the best thing in the world not to mention a gift and you know they will... Thanks for your reply!!

Wow... I know I have not been in this shape in a long long time, and have tried to learn how to Budget so that actually, this never does. I am Insulin Diabetic and spend a lot of $$ on prescriptions, etc. (even with Insurance), so I am always trying to keep extra in my account in case something happens to where I need to see my Doctor. But if it ever happens again I would just Pray, Trust and believe God to see my thru. I would have to make ends meet with riding the Bus back and forth to work and just hope no real Emergency comes up to where I have to call someone and ask to borrow any money. This is an interesting thought and discussion by the way.

If I was down to my last dollar, I would have to save it just in case. Things always seem to happen when you have no money to afford it (i.e. flat tire, etc.) I know that the dollar wouldn't even begin to cover it, but it would help right?

I know exactly what you mean when it comes to something seems to always happen... Yeah it might help but it's only a dollar... you'd need about 200 more of them for a tire...lol Good thought though!

I can't say that I am that generous. If I had only one dollar left to my name, I would save it. You never know when you need an extra dollar. I actually have an emergency dollar in my car just for that purpose~ you never know when you might need it.

Aaww, That was so sweet to give your last dollar to the charity. Some people forget to do so and keep the last dollar. We might not need that money but other people do. For my case, I collect it together with my all changes to a jar and give to somebody that need those money (who need it) when it's full.

Hello there sweetie, I think that this topic is really cute, funny (in a nice way) and really makes me smile. I think I had an incident that is exactly the same as in this discussion and it happened to me years ago, when I was working part time in a convenience store and studying engineering at the same time. I had to juggle studies, waiting for my part-time salary and I had roughly around $1 point something in my bank account left. So, what I did was I took the $1 and I went to look for my brother whom was also working part-time and studying just like me as well. In Singapore, the most common bank account we need to be able to cash out would be the minimum of $10. And his account standing at that time was roughly around $9 point something. So, I went to transfer my $1 to him, and he cashed out the 10 bucks which had been added up and we both split into 5-5, ha! It was such a funny and desperate way for us to survive with that $5. But my payout was during the next 2 days and we just lived off that and ate around $2+ per day plus drinks. Now, I am proud to say I don't have those moments anymore, and whenever I feel like I'm a bit selfish in the bit of wealth that I had, I would remember that experience and felt humble by it all. Have a nice day ;)
