Kite flying weather today!

Missed this one! I haven't flown a kite in years. My hubby tried to show my daughter last year. He just bought a kite from the dollar store. Got the kite up a few times. We should try it again sometime. Even watching was fun!

I used to fly kites when I was still a kid back in the Philippines. We used to do it in farm lands after harvest (of course, when there are no crop to step upon, otherwise, we get ourselves into trouble for ruining what people would one day eat...lol). Anyway, it was fun really. And I can still remember those moments when I had fun with my friends till sundown, only to come home for dinner. Now, well I could only look at kids enjoying this stuff. I just went to the Cherry Blossoms festival and saw fair amount of kids flying kites. Throws me back to my childhood days. Only that the weather here is way too cool than our very humid place in Manila.

I haven't flown a kite since I was a little girl. My daughter got one in her Easter basket last year, but my dad took her to fly it. They had fun until it got stuck in the power line and they couldn't get it out. Since then she has been asking for another one, but for some reason I can't seem to find them in the stores here.
