Do you ever go birdwatching or wildlife watching?

I love going out at dusk and late evening looking for any local wildlife. We have tons of deer, foxes, coyotes, opossum, raccoons etc. I go driving the college bus station roads in search...I have seen all kinds of stuff right in my own neighborhood. I also love birdwatching. My uncles new wife has been taking pictures at their bird feeder and have some really nice pictures. I am going to rearrange my feeders so I can take good close up pics at mine. How about you..?

Me and my hubby just been sitting on our porch today and watching blue birds flit around and watching the squirrels playing. It was a pretty site watching them play around. We have seen deer come out of the woods right in front of our house and even a pig once. Now, the wildlife people are looking for a bear that got loose on Easter. That isn't something I want to walk up on...like to see but not to close..

I haven't a clue where it got loose. All I know is that they asked us if we seen a bear not far from us. Sometimes at night the animals will kick up a ruckcus but I don't think it was because of the bear or I atleast hope they now have signs posted up about the bear and to call if anyone spots it. They still haven't to my knowledge found it yet. There is no Zoo or circus around I do live up a holler in Kentucky though so no telling what you'll see coming out of the woods.

Where did the bear get loose from? I saw one dumpster diving once in Massachusetts.

Yes. My husband and i love to ride our four wheelers. We will ride them back into the woods and turn them off and just sit there and listen and look at the wildlife. W also have three bird feeders. One of the is for hummingbirds. I love to watch those.

I love the hummingbirds too. Ours don't usually arrive here until the end of April. I watch the migration reports at www.hummingbirds.net Then I can put my feeders up about a week before they hit my area in case there are a few early arrivals...lol

They used to never come around my home until I bought the feeders and put them outside. They will come around and hover around my red flowers too. I always put mine out around the end of April also. I love to sit out on the deck and watch them.

One of my favorite things that I remember doing with my husband was to go wildlife watching on New Year's Day. We went out and bought binoculars and had a really great day.

We frequently have deer in our backyard like every couple of days the problem is they go back and forth across the street and it's a state highway. We just had one hit in front of our house 3 weeks ago, the second one this year. The police had to come shoot it, by the time they got here it had wiggled itself into our yard up to my brothers car. It was terrible having this poor deer hit and shot in our front yard. I keep trying to get the town to put up a deer sign but they haven't yet.

I do bird watching from my house and wildlife viewing in my local area as well as further afield. I like to see robins and blackbirds. At the beach I see many sea gulls and it is lovely to hear the noise they make as I wander along the sea shore. I went on an organized walk to see bats in some woodland. I love to go snorkeling around a coral reef and have done this is off the coast of Australia, around the islands of the South Pacific, around the waters of Seychelles and around the waters of Belize. I have seen colorful fish, sharks, sting rays and a manta ray. From a boat I have seen manatees and crocodiles. I have been on a safari in Kenya and seen lions, giraffes, zebras, hippos, rhinos and a leopard. I have seen penguins, seals, koalas, kangaroos and dolphins in Australia. It is always fun to watch birds and do wildlife watching.

I would love to go snorkling, I haven't yet but what wonderful things to see. I especially like going moose watching. Sounds like you have seen a lot, that's for sure.
