I myself am very interested in it, and I would like to meet some people who also have this interest. So my question for you is, what is it about psychology that has you interested in it? What is your favourite part about it? For me, its mental disorders and addictions. I would love to hear what you have to say on these topics. It would be really great to hear from anyone who has been to college for psychology, as they would know more about it than others.

I am a HUGE fan of Psychology BUT more specifically Abnormal Psych....Why? because I have an intimate relationship with it for starters and because the human mind facinates the hell out of me..I love reading and learning about everything from specific disorders to criminology and how the criminal mind works etc etc...I have read articles, text books etc etc etc and have been for many yrs...The ONLY thing I dont care for is when ppl are treated like standard case studies...as much as many in the medical community would like to think thats so (that we can be lumped together like that) its never the way it really is and numerous factors come into play..

Yes, abnormal phych is very interesting. And one day, I would love to work in a penetentiary (I believe I may have spelt this wrong?), as criminal minds also interest me. I enjoy reading books on psychology aswell, so please feel free to let me know of any good books worth reading. The only one I have so far is Everything Psychology. It is just a introduction and covers the basics.

I am interested in psychology because of my life experiences. I have had depression and some other crazy problems, so I think learning about different aspects of psychology is almost healing for me. it helps me to understand myself better, and I can understand others better. I find every aspect of psychology fascinating! I like learning about different behaviors and dreams. You can learn a lot about people by studying their actions and communication styles.

I totally agree with your response. Psychology helps me to understand the things that I went through and it helps me to understand how I can further get over those things. As I study psychology for school, I have noticed that a lot of people that have had psychological difficulties in their past end up being psychologists or write about their psychological experiences.

I have not studied psychology as a subject, but I have read and studied many books on the subject and I have done course of 'graphology' also, which is related to psychology. I love this subject and wherever I find articles/books related to this subject, I quickly grab that and try to enhance my knowledge.

I'm studying advanced level psychology at college and for me it's the entire subject as a whole that interests me. I love learning about how different psychologists view the subject and how their ideas and theories can be applied to everyday life. Since I started studying psychology, I've noticed a lot of things in my own life that support psychological theories. It's really interesting to see just how real the subject is - it's totally unlike other subjects like history or geography, which you can't really apply to your own life.

hi there! i'm a graduate of B.S. Psychology here in the philippines. Actually, what interest me in taking up this course is the wide application it can offer as a career. You can apply your knowledge and skill in fields of Education, human management or Industrial Setting, Clinical and even Special Education..There are a lot of interesting aspects about it which does not only focus on disorders or addiction, or supernatural phenomenon. It also studies the aspect of human mind and its reaction to environment, which leads to understanding and developing ways of improving life for Human beings.

I have just finished my B.A in Psychology. I am really into the Cognitive branch of psychology. I think that we could all benefit from a further understanding of thought processes and perceptions. The cognitive approach to therapy is arguably the best, and most successful.

I love to read the subject 'phychology'. I do not have any special field, as earmarked for studying it. I go for the any book or article, which has some material on 'phychology'. I know 'graphology', which is also related to 'phychology'. I had always a great interest in the subject and I try to gain more and more knowledge about it.

I have known the subject deeply through the 9-unit course I got when I was still in university. This field really got my interests. I even got high grade that time because of my eagerness to know more the subject area. I like the topics, dreams, intelligence and memory.

I like psychology because I can do analysis of my mood with it's theory. I can find out the reason why I am unhappy, and find out what is behind my pleasure. If I am narrow-minded or jealous, I will be aware of that. So psychology makes me more rational.

I am very interested in psychology. In fact, I am in college right now earning my bachelor's degree in psychology. I suppose my childhood experiences are a lot of the reason that I am interested in psychology. I came from an abusive home and had some problems with depression growing up. Luckily, I didn't have as many problems as I should have. I've had an interest in psychology since I was very young because I was always very interested in what makes people tick and how people end up certain ways. Probably my favorite part of psychology is abnormal psychology, the study of mental disorders and their diagnosis and treatment, but I also am really interested in the multi-faceted properties of psychology. People don't become who they are from any one influence. Family, home life, school experiences, society, financial standing, and friendships can all influence a person's personality development. I think that is really interesting.

I too had depression for about a year. I'd always been interested in psychology anyway, but to actually experience being mentally unwell made me realise that it genuinely is REAL and I now want to help other people in the same way I was given help.
